Shameless Recommendation

Marissa Not So PNR Mini Banner Oh how I love those Maddox brothers. Beautiful Oblivion shows us the humorous, sometimes sad, but all around great guy, Trenton Maddox. And Trenton makes it so easy to love him, he has such a great humor about being friends with Cami and making her fall in love with him, since he’s been in love with her since they were kids. Yes, we get to see a bit of Travis and the overbearing brothers of Cami, I kept waiting to see a face-off between the Maddox brothers and Cami’s brothers. But, Trenton worked his magic, not only getting Cami to fall in love with him, but her brothers to begrudgingly like him too. This was definitely a great addition to the overall story arc seen in Beautiful Disaster, plus a twist you maybe didn't see coming. [July 2014]

Adrian NA Mini Banner
Another Maddox to love, and boy did I fall hard for Trent. He's gorgeous, sexy, sweet, charismatic, and loyal. He's intense, but not as bad as Travis. He's been in love with Cami forever and he's ready to take his shot. But Cami is spoken for, so Trent puts himself in the friend-zone. Cami tries but it's hard to resist a Maddox boy. I loved that Trent and Cami's romance takes place during the same time as Travis and Abby's and we get glimpses of them throughout the book. It's well-written, sweet and the sexual tension is just nuts. There are some fantastic secondary characters and I hope we get more of them as the series goes along. [July 2014]

Publisher Synopsis

The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
