The Hotter You Burn by Gena Showalter
I don’t know how Gena does it, but she reforms a known man-whore with a sweet heroine who’s down on her luck. I loved Beck and Harlow’s story, their fighting, and friendship that leads into a relationship was both funny and heartbreaking at times. But they definitely had some uphill battles. Luckily, there is a great cast of supporting characters from the previous stories to help them out, bring comic relief, and insight to Beck and Harlow’s pasts. There was some suspense added towards the end that I felt added perfectly to the story, and I can’t wait to read the next book in this trilogy about 3 bad boys who move to a small town, overcome their demons to find their HEA. Then, the series starts another trilogy based in the same town with characters we’ve briefly met.
“I believe the word is pronounced irresistible.”
