Why Do We Like This Book?

This series just keeps getting better and better. I loved this new couple. Aiden and Dana had a whirlwind courtship, with lots of action, suspense, and mystery thrown in. I loved watching this 3,000 year old immortal try his hand at dating in the 21st century, he was sweet and bumbling and knew Dana was it for him almost from their first touch. Even though Dana was thrown into this immortal war, she didn’t shy away from Aiden and his life, feeling the attraction just as much as him.
Dianne builds upon the previous stories, so it would be wise to read from the beginning. But, she also is kind enough to do a recap during the first couple of chapters so you won’t be lost if you jump right in with Aiden and Dana. Dianne wrote a great plot twist or two and seeing all of my favorite couples was the icing on the cake.

“I care about you,” she whispered, pressing a kiss to his lips. “I’m falling in love with you.” She tasted his warm, soft lips again. “I want you.”
“I want to feel you clamp down around me and squeeze me tight when you come for me again,” he told her, every muscle tense.

Publisher Synopsis

Dana Pembroke has been able to glimpse the future of those she touches for as long as she can remember.  But she never saw Aidan coming.  When the tall, dark Celt with the charming grin yet world-weary eyes walks through her door, the future she sees for him is one full of violence, danger, deception… and passion.  Because amidst the terrifying battles that unfold in her visions, she also sees herself in Aidan’s arms and in his bed.  Dana knows she should keep her distance, but the tender moments and laughter they share entice her even as she finds herself thrust into a world of vampires, immortals, and other preternatural beings.

Immortal Guardian Aidan O’Byrne has been hunting and slaying psychotic vampires for nearly three thousand years, so visions of bloody battles don’t trouble him.  The battles Dana foresees, however, show Aidan’s brethren turning against him, so he can’t help but feel alarmed.  While he spends as much time as he can with Dana, struggling to decipher her dire predictions, Aidan finds himself utterly smitten. Hope rises that he has finally found a woman who can banish the darkness and loneliness that plague him. But when vampires begin targeting Dana and a powerful enemy spawns chaos, will fate grant them time to find happiness together?

About The Author
My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
