Why Do We Like This Book?

Marissa Recommends
It’s always the ones you least expect it who are the kinkiest. Computer geek, clean cut, all-American, loving and normal family . . . sexual deviant in the sack. Oh yes, Chad will push all your kinky buttons just like he does with Ruby. I loved how they start out as acquaintances and he insinuates himself into her life when he realizes how much pleasure he gets being around her. And he pushes Ruby to embrace her kinkiness slowly because he knows exactly what she needs. This story had a slower build-up than the first 2 but it worked for this couple once you realize their back stories. I think that’s one of the things I love about Jennifer’s writing, she creates these alpha men who know what their women want even if the women don’t.

“I know what you need.”

“What?  Please tell me,”  I arch, silently begging him to go on.

He slips inside my panties.  “You need to be fucked.”  He goes lower.  “Claimed.”  Lower.  “Ruined.”  He circles my clit and I gasp at the slickness, at his words.

His teeth scrape my neck.  “Ripped apart and put back together again.”

He growls, low in my ear, “This, right here, is who you are.  Now be a good girl and come all over my fingers while you think about me fucking this tight little ass of yours.”
Every ounce of dominance I keep in check comes pouring out and she responds, exactly like the good little girl she is, and goes crazy.

Publisher Synopsis

One night in a moment of sheer madness I confessed my secrets to him. All my life I’ve been pretending. Pretending to be the woman I thought I should be instead of the woman I really am. I’ve been faking it and I am good. No one has ever guessed. Except him. He just looked at me and knew.
Chad Fellows is not the man I want, but he’s fast becoming the man I need.
One night in a moment of sheer madness I held her in my arms and let her cry. I did the right thing, letting her walk away, no matter how much she calls to the part of me that wants to rescue her. We are nothing alike, and she’s a mess of complications in a life I’m trying to keep simple. But then I touched her and made her tremble and now I can’t turn away.
Ruby Stiles is not the woman I want, but she’s fast becoming the woman I need.

About The Author
My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
