Midnight Lily by Mia Sheridan
Dear God! Mia did it again. She engaged me in a story that keeps us guessing and totally engrosses me from the very first page. It doesn't take long to ask #WhoIsLily and the journey is robust and riveting. AVOID SPOILERS AT ALL COSTS. ~ Nelle [March 2016]
My words of advice, take your time and savor this book. I rushed through it because I was so caught up in the words, the characters, the love story unfolding that when the first HUGE plot twist happened, I was completely blindsided. To be honest, I don’t think there are any hints to what is coming at that point. And I can’t say any more without spoiling this wonderful, mind fuck (in a good way) of a book. Just know that Mia has given us 2 characters you will love, once again, but that she has also expanded on her writing repertoire. I love her more as an author now after she obviously pushed her boundaries writing this love story. I may have even sent her a gushing message on Facebook after I finished.

Holden Scott is the prince of professional football. At least he was before he lost it all . . . or more to the point, before he threw it all away. Now
he's out of a job, out of the public's good graces, and perhaps just a little out of his mind. So when a friend offers up his remote lodge in the wilds of
Colorado, giving Holden some time away to get his life back on track, he can hardly say no. The last thing he expects is to see a beautiful girl in the
woods—one wearing a white, lace dress who appears in the moonlight, and leaves no footprints behind. Is she a dream? A ghost? A product of his muddled
imagination? Or something entirely different?
Midnight Lily is the haunting love story of two lost souls reaching for each other in the dark. A tale of healing, acceptance, and the worlds we create to
protect our own hearts. It is a story of being lost, of being found, and of being in the place between.
