    Our Recommendation

I loved the premise behind this story, and you find out exactly the reason behind the title in such an awesome first chapter. Wolfe was such an alphahole and I loved to hate him, but Francesca had such wonderful sass with him. And her young love with Angelo was sweet and heartbreaking since she was forced to marry Wolfe. This is not a typical love triangle, which I am not a fan of and usually skip those stories, but LJ wrote this romance perfectly that I think you won’t need to throw your book when you normally have to choose your favorite hero. I think that is why I loved this book even more. The main characters you loved and hated at alternating parts of the story, but I promise it all works out in the end.

    Publisher Synopsis

    via Amazon

From USA Today and Washington Post bestselling author L.J. Shen comes an enemies-to-lovers romance with a twist...

They say your first kiss should be earned.

Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.

They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.

Mine were broken before we left church.

They say your heart only beats for one man.

Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.

I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.

Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.

I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.

    One kiss.
    Two men.
    Three lives.
    Entwined together.

And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

Cosmo and Marie Clare, my only sources of relationship advice, didn't exactly cover the subject of an arranged marriage with cruel, severely emotionally stunted senators in the twenty-first century.
"My heart has room for him. He just needs to claim it."
"Try not to fall in love with me." I opened my thighs... "It will be a terrible inconvenience, il mio amore. To love the wife you took in vengeance."

    Other Books by LJ Shen

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
