🛒 Rolling Cart

We wrote about this spiffy cart for last year’s signing and it proved to be a great little way to tote your books and swag around the signing.

NOTE: As indicated on the Eventbrite page where you purchased your tickets, hard-sided carts, wagons, strollers, and luggage larger than a carry-on will not be allowed into the signing. This will be strictly enforced.

🛄 Carry-On Personal-Size Luggage

These bags won’t count as a carry-on if you’re flying a budget airline. They are small enough to be considered a personal item and fit under the seat in front of you on the airplane!  ✈️ Trust me, I use them.

🍿 Snacks

Tuck away a Luna bar or 2 in your day bag for those times when you’re standing in line to see your favorite author and a wave of hunger passes over you. LAWD knows you don’t want to end up hangry when you get to the end of the line.

💊 Pharmaceuticals

✔️ Tums
✔️ Tylenol
✔️ Personal supply of Xanax

I have my little Henri Bendel pill case on my person at ALL times. A pill case is one of those things you saw your grandma pull out of her purse and though you’d never have but now that you’re a full-fledged adult, you realize it’s a necessity!

💵 Cash

It’s really up to you how much you want to take along. We recommend having some dollars with you at the signing as a back-up for purchasing books from authors.

✍🏼 Mementos

After spending months planning, plotting, and looking forward to meeting your favorite authors, you won’t want to leave empty-handed! Bring along something special to have authors sign that will forever remind you of who you met. If you’ve never been to an author signing or fan event, trust me – the possibilities are endless. I’ve seen readers have authors sign their actual iPads, pre-made scrapbooks, large photo frames, t-shirts, and everything in between. If you can dream it, bring it!

Of course, if you like having signed books as your memento, bring your own from home, buy them at our onsite bookseller, or buy them directly from the authors (indie authors can sell their own books) at their tables.

Here are some ideas to help you figure out what you want to bring to have signed! And if you have another idea and want the official #Shameless17 logo, leave a comment.

Have a blog? Sell a product? Wanna get subscribed to some newsletters? You’ll need an easy way to share your deets!

NOTE: We allow fellow book bloggers to share a business card and/or small swag item handed directly to authors and readers with the understanding that what you hand out is not co-branded with the Shameless Book Club or Shameless Book Con logo unless you are a paid sponsor. We reserve the right to ask anyone attending the event to stop sharing swag or business cards at any time.

Last year, we turned out a party that attendees are still talking about! You will want to attend and dress your best. Visit our Dress-Up Ideas post for a few dresses we think you’ll love.

Shameless Book Con 2017: The Smut Gala

Shameless Book Con 2017: The Smut Gala

Shameless Book Con 2017: The Smut GalaDo you know the The Met Gala? It’s an annual event that takes place in NYC at Metropolitan Museum of Art. The gala celebrates something unique and striking in the fashion world. It’s over-the-top; it’s high fashion; it’s creativity; it’s art at its finest.

Here are a few examples of how designers (broadly) interpreted last year’s theme:

Some of us Smut Fairies had the pleasure of seeing the Manus x Machina exhibit last year, and the creativity and artistry brought tears to our eyes. We walked out and looked at the steps that the celebrities walk up to be photographed, and that’s when it hit us: THE SMUT GALA at Shameless Book Con!

We screamed liked schoolgirls and jumped up and down and immediately started plotting this year’s theme for Shameless Book Con 2017’s after party. We’ll change the theme each year just like The Met Gala, but ours will always be THE SMUT GALA.

So this year… behold…

Paradiso vs. Inferno

Now you’re asking yourself… WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

It’s simple, but not really. We’re going to ask attendees to dress according to what you feel is your best, most creative interpretation of the theme. Pick one or both of those words, and make it come to life.

There are no rules. No limits.*

Do you want to be creative and outrageous? Go for it.

Do you want to be inspiring and elegant? Go for it.

Do you want to skip dressing up? You can do that too.

We can’t wait to see how you interpret those words!

Thanks to our amazing sponsor, Meredith Wild, we’ll have excellent prizes for the most creative, evil, beautiful, imaginative, etc. And we give good prizes. (see: adult toys, money, gift cards)

You decide what you want to wear. You define the theme.

Just get ready for an epic party that will blow your panties off!

*Buzzkill: Unfortunately, nudity, fire, and glitter are not allowed into the event hall.

Can I upgrade my ticket?

Unless you can find someone who is selling their VIP ticket (check the Attendees Facebook Group), upgrades are no longer available. We sold out of VIP passes quickly, so keep it in mind when we put SBC17 tickets on sale!

Am I required to go to pre-registration on Friday?

Nope! You can pick up your ticket and goodie bag on Saturday morning before the signing.

Can I pick up my ticket if I don’t have my receipt?

Sure! You can pull up your registration on your phone in Eventbrite.

If you didn’t place your ticket order yourself or if you placed a ticket order for someone else, go to this form and let us know who will be using the additional ticket.

If your name is not on a ticket at registration, you will have to have the person who purchased the tickets with you at registration.

When should I line up to enter the signing?

We can’t give you a specific time you’ll need to line up for entry, but from past signings we’ve been to, you might want to get there earlier rather than later. The area next to the event space is covered, and mornings in October aren’t horribly hot, so you should be comfortable waiting.

How many books can I bring into the signing?

We have a post full of information for you here.

How many books can I have an author sign at once?

We ask that you keep the number of books for an author to sign at a minimum if there are people behind you in line. Read more details here.

What’s a Fast Pass? What’s a Golden Ticket?

Fast Passes are like reservations or appointments to get to meet an author. You’re not jumping in front of everyone in line; you’re getting to wait in a MUCH shorter, Fast Pass-only line. Fast Pass registration is currently closed but you may cancel or transfer your own Fast Passes at any time.

Fast Passes are explained in detail here.

Golden Tickets are a combination of a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket meshed with a Disney World FastPass soaked in a bucket of shameless book love. Golden Tickets are not available for purchase, only available through our giveaways.

Golden Tickets will be issued to winners upon registration.

Will there be Wi-Fi at the signing?

Wi-fi access is not available for attendees inside of the Universal Center.

Do I really need a ticket for the Sparkler Saturday evening?

Yes, you really do. Registration was open for the free Shameless Sparkler by 1001 Dark Nights event for several months before we had to close registration. We anticipate being able to open the event to non-ticketholders around 30 minutes into the event. We will update our Facebook and Twitter feeds with information if we are able to allow more attendees into the event. You may also wait in a standby line at the event.

What’s the dress code for the weekend?

Pretty much everything is dress how you want. Here are some details:

VIP Cocktail Party – Outside at the Poolside Terrace, though not at the pool. Dress nice-casual for Florida weather: humid and warm. We can hope for a breeze since it is October! Check the weather before you pack; the forecast can change daily.
Author Signing – Whatever you’re most comfortable walking around in for hours on end. Comfortable shoes highly recommended.
Shameless Sparkler – See: VIP Cocktail Party
Costume Ball After Party – Theme: Be Shameless. Be You. Costumes are recommended, though not required. Prizes will be awarded to the best of the best.
UnHoly Day with Tiffany Reisz – Casual is great. You’ll be sitting most of the time.

How can I ship all my new loot home?

UPS will be on-site in the same room as the Books-A-Million pop-up shop from 5pm-9pm on Saturday night. They will have boxes and scales.

Around the Hotel

Where are good places to eat around the DoubleTree within walking distance?

Orlando Ale House (American bar & grill) and Kobe Steakhouse (Hibachi) are in the same parking lot as the event hotel. TGIFriday’s is just across the street in the Holiday Inn parking lot. Carrabba’s Italian Grill is about a 7 minute walk behind Ale House and Kobe, just across the street.

There is a restaurant and a café located inside the hotel, but with construction going on, we’re unsure of their hours and what will be available.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the hotel for a discounted rate. Payment for parking is next to the entrance of the hotel.

$10/night – Overnight; self-parking DoubleTree guests (includes in/out privileges)
$8/day – Day rate for self-parking event attendees (no in/out privileges)
$8/day – Day rate for self-parking Holiday Inn guests booked in our overflow block (includes in/out privileges); guests will pick up a special key card for parking lot gate at DoubleTree Bell Services desk (must show Holiday Inn room key; room key and name will be validated to be in the room block)

Any more questions we can answer? Ask in the comments below!

Get To Know Her

New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author. She was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia.

Supporting her all the way are her husband, three sometimes-adorable children, a mischievous black cat, and their nine-pound attack Yorkie.

Facebook | Website | Twitter

Fun Facts About Carey Heywood

1) Who are your favorite authors?

Kristen Ashley, JK Rowling, CD Reiss, Jane Austen

2) Where is your favorite place to write?

On my screen porch or in my den with a fire going.

3) Do you have any unique or quirky writing habits?

I write on a word processor. It is low tech, needs no wifi, and runs forever on 3 double A batteries…that description actually also sounds like a dildo (except for the running forever part). :P

4) What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

I have a character who is an amputee. Having to interview men online to ask them whether they do, or do not remove their prosthetic leg for sex was pretty strange.

5) Give us an interesting fun fact about one of your books.
The diner in my Love Riddles series (Why Now? & Why Lie?) is inspired by a local diner near where I live, called River City Diner.

6) Any spoilers for current projects?

I’m working on Love Riddles 3 (Why Not?) right now. This book is Reilly and Trip’s story. Expect this release early 2017.

Get To Know Her

Hi! Thanks for dropping in…

You want to know more about me? Well, let’s see…

I am just an average twenty-something following my dreams. I have a full time “day job” and by night I am an author. I guess you could say that writing is like my super power (I always wanted one of those). I am the lover of wine, sushi, football and the ocean; that is when I am not wrapped up in the literary world.

Please feel free to contact me to chat about my writing, books you think I’d like or just to shoot the, well you know.

A portion of all my royalties are donated to The Marcie Mazzola Foundation.

Facebook | Website | Twitter

Fun Facts About Kristen Hope Mazzola

1) Who are your favorite authors?

This is so tough. I have tons! But, the ones that are coming to mind are: Brittainy C. Cherry, Staci Hart, Kandi Steiner, M. Stratton, ZB Heller, Dawn Robertson, JK Rolling, Jane Austin, Rochelle Paige, and Danielle Jaime.

2) Where is your favorite place to write?

In bed for sure. I love being cuddled up in my blankets, wrapped up in my literary world.

3) Do you have any unique or quirky writing habits?

I have a writing blanket with a Dumbledore quote on it that I usually have to have while I am working.

4) What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

I have researched a lot of weird things. One that really sticks out was when I was working on Unspeakable and I had to research bomb detonation and body dismemberment – I am pretty sure I am on some sort of government what list now for that one.

5) Give us an interesting fun fact about one of your books.
The dog in Stupid Hearts, Dozer, was written about my own dog, Diesel. All of the quirks, annoying things, and hilarious moments that happen with Dozer, Diesel actually did. Sadly, Diesel passed away this year, but he will always be remembered in the pages of Stupid Hearts and that brings me so much joy!!

6) Any spoilers for current projects?

I am working on Hat Trick (which is releasing 5 days before SBC!) I can’t give too much away, but it’s a hockey romance with a HEA and a standalone. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite projects I have worked on so far and I cannot wait to share Gavin and Myla’s story with everyone.

You may have heard the rumor that we’ll be offering Fast Passes for attendees at Shameless Book Con 2016.

{Still need to get your tickets? Get them now!}

It’s not a rumor; Fast Passes are a real thing and they’re spectacular!

If you’re unfamiliar with Fast Passes, they’re like reservations or appointments to get to meet an author. You’re not jumping in front of everyone in line; you’re getting to wait in a MUCH shorter, Fast Pass-only line.

{NOTE: Fast Passes and Golden Tickets are separate entities. Golden Tickets are available only through giveaways and allow one event attendee with an entry ticket to skip to the front of any author signing line one time.}

Fast Passes are available to schedule to ease the wait for the following authors:

Fast Pass registration is open on a first come, first served basis through the scheduling application we’ve set up. The form was posted live for all attendees at the same time: Saturday, October 1st at 12pm EDT. We gave several days’ warning through email and social media posts to make sure you’d be available to schedule the Fast Passes you hope to get.

Registration is available to current ticket holders and those who haven’t yet purchased tickets.

If our blog is overrun with traffic, the direct link to the scheduling program will be posted on the Shameless Book Club and Shameless Book Con Facebook pages.

Fast Passes are free and available for all current and future Shameless Book Con 2016 ticket holders!

  • Attendees may schedule Fast Passes for up to THREE different Authors ONE time each.
    • If you schedule more than one Fast Pass for any Author, we will cancel all of your duplicate Fast Passes.
  • Each attendee must schedule their own Fast Passes.
    • Only in prior-approved, special instances can an attendee schedule Fast Passes for another attendee.
  • Do not double-book your appointment times.
    • If you double-book (example: Author A at 12:00; Author B at 12:00), we will cancel all of your duplicates.
  • Scheduling more than THREE Fast Passes total may result in cancellation all of your Fast Passes.

Fast Passes are valid ONLY during the times you’ve scheduled with the Authors you’ve selected. The schedule for Fast Passes are in 20 minute increments of 10 attendees each from 12:00-4:00pm.

Save your confirmation email for future rescheduling. You may reschedule or exchange non-conflicting Fast Passes with another attendee until 1 week prior to the event through the scheduling website.

See you soon!

Get To Know Her

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since… forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball – I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I’m clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there’s your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair – both a curse and a blessing – and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can’t understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

I binge watch things. Usually one book is almost entirely written to one movie/tv show that’s continuously playing. My Time in the Affair was written with “The Interview” playing in the background. A lot of Degradation was written with “Rebecca” on, and The Bad Ones was written with the show “Schitt’s Creek” playing. What’s on has zero correlation to what I’m writing, and I have no clue why my brain settles on what it does.

4) What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

Nothing too strange, really. Probably something like “how long does it take it choke someone until they die” or “average penis diameter”

I did once have a lively discussion (complete with reenactments) about the ease man have, or lack there of, reaching their taints while masturbating – does that count? Didn’t end up using it

5) Give us an interesting fun fact about one of your books.

The Bad Ones was entirely inspired by a house I saw while driving on the freeway in West Virginia. That’s it, whole story, just from a simple house on the side of the road.

6) Any spoilers for current projects?

Nobody likes a spoiler!!! …. but a tiny one – expect a lot of books in this series :D

Things to do before you meet Susan in October:

Get To Know Her

New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Susan Stoker has a heart as big as the state of Texas where she lives, but this all American girl has also spent the last fourteen years living in Missouri, California, Colorado, and Indiana. She’s married to a retired Army man who now gets to follow her around the country.

She debuted her first series in 2014 and quickly followed that up with the SEAL of Protection Series, which solidified her love of writing and creating stories readers can get lost in.”

~WebsiteFacebook – Twitter

Fun Facts About Susan Stoker

1) Who are your favorite authors?

I have SO many because one day I’ll be in the mood to read a good cyborg romance, and the next I’ll want a historical I can sink my teeth into! Some of the authors who are in my “re-read” folder include (in no particular order): Lolita Lopez, Laurann Dohner, Tessa Bailey, Cherise Sinclair, Lainey Reese, Hannah Howell, Kristen Ashley, Cynthia Sax, Lexi Blake, Becca Jameson, Vanessa Vale, Carrie Ann Ryan, Anne Malcom, Brynne Asher, Piper Davenport, & Gillian Archer.

2) Where is your favorite place to write?

In my huge leather easy chair at home. I can keep my eye on the dogs to make sure they aren’t getting in trouble, and my butt is nice and comfy. :)

3) Do you have any unique or quirky writing habits?

I don’t know about unique, but once I start a book, I write like a fiend to get it done. I can literally finish a full novel (full for me is around 70-80K) in a week and a half if I’m really on a roll. This is partly because I”m excited about the story, partly because I can type really fast, and partly because if I don’t get it done, I’ll forget major details (like if the heroine lives in an apartment or a townhouse, or what color the Hero’s hair is).

4) What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

Gosh, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head that was strange…I’ve had to look a lot of things up…epilepsy, agoraphobia, medicine, street names, locations, sexual positions, those kinds of things…but nothing I’d really consider “strange”. :)

5) Give us an interesting fun fact about one of your books.

In the beginning, Tex, from the SEAL of Protection series, was a “throw-away” character. He was never meant to be as big of a character as he became. He was merely a reason for Wolf and his teammates to be on a place headed to Virginia in Protecting Caroline. But by the time I finished book 3 in that series (Protecting Fiona), it was obvious he needed his own HEA. And now he’s the one character who is literally in just about every single one of my books…no matter the series.

6) Any spoilers for current projects?

I guess it’s not really a spoiler, but I’m writing a book called Marrying Emily about the characters in Rescuing Emily (Emily (duh), Fletch, and little Annie). It wasn’t really on the schedule, but I knew I needed to let the readers see Annie in her flower girl dress with combat boots. It’s going to have not only the Delta Force characters, but the SEALs are going to be invited to the wedding as well.

Things to do before you meet Jordan Marie in October…

Get To Know Her

Jordan Marie

“Jordan Marie is the alter ego of a small town country girl. She released her first book in January of 2015 and has been blown away by the amazing support. She’s grateful for each and every reader that has taken the time to read her stories and in the process get to know the men and women that live in her mind. She likes to create a book that takes you on an emotional journey whether tears, laughter (or both) or just steamy hot fun (or all 3). She loves to connect with readers.”  ~WebsiteFacebook

Fun Facts About Jordan Marie

1) Who are your favorite authors?

Julie Garwood and Kresley Cole. I don’t read anymore. I never find time. With two exceptions, I gobble up anything historical from Julie and anything paranormal from Kresley. These ladies are amazing.

2) Where is your favorite place to write?

My favorite place to write is outside. It lets me relax and it helps me to calm my mind so the words flow easier.

3) Do you have any unique or quirky writing habits?

Unique? Quirky? No… other than hating everything I write and crying I’ll never write again until the book is finished. That’s pretty normal lol.

4) What’s the strangest thing you have ever had to research online for your book?

Strangest thing… hmm I’ve had to research a lot of sketchy things that might have put me on the FBI watch list. So I’m not sure. For my last book I had to research golf things.. Now while not strange…it was boring.

5) Give us an interesting fun fact about one of your books.

Fun fact about one of my books. I like to make characters in the background that mimic friends in my life. Recently Sabrina Paige laughed for two days over the filthy things I did to her in my Devil’s Blaze series.

6) Any spoilers for current projects?

Spoilers? My current series readers are falling in love with the mother of the heroes. Ida Sue. In upcoming books, they’ll find out more about Ida Sue. Including that there’s a child the other brothers and sisters haven’t met yet. It seems Ida Sue has a deep secret.

Shameless Book Con #SBC16 Welcomes Anna Todd!

It’s no exaggeration to say we’re honored to welcome Anna Todd to Shameless Book Con 2016! She’s been busy traveling around the world promoting her books, and she’s just agreed to sign at #SBC16!

Anna Todd at SBC16

With over 1 BILLION online reads before her story was even published, Anna Todd – identified by The Hollywood Reporter as a phenomenon – is one of the most prolific and successful fanfic-turned-novelist to date.

Anna Todd on FacebookSince 2013 when she started adding fans on Wattpad, Anna has racked up nearly 500,000 Facebook fans, 300,000 Twitter followers, and 400,000 Instagram followers.

Those fans all know about the movie deal she made with Paramount. PARAMOUNT. In May, Daniel Sharman was revealed as the lead character:

“On May 15, After author Anna Todd tweeted a Sugarscape article about the potential casting of Daniel Sharman as Hardin Scott, the bad boy character that used to share Harry Styles’ name. Anna Todd had to change his moniker when she turned her Wattpad fanfics into a series of novels.” via Inquisitr

And allow me to brag on her a little about being featured in both the print and online editions of The New York Times. Yeah, major.

Divider line transparent
Oh, and she even has an app!

Some authors do blog tours to share their new book covers with the reading world. Anna is so popular, the cover of her next book was revealed on this summer. It’s Anna’s take on Little Women, The Spring Girls, and will be out in Fall 2017.

Yeah, we’re pretty honored.

5 Reasons To Take Paperbacks To A Book Signing

–Enter the Giveaway below!–

Just because we’re book lovers doesn’t necessarily mean we have a library full of books. I, for example, have only a handful of paperbacks on my shelves. Out of every 100 books I read, 99 of them will be on my Kindle.

For that reason, I don’t have loads of paperbacks at the ready to be signed by my favorite authors when I meet them. But there’s something about having my FAVORITE books signed by their authors. It’s a way to mark a book I enjoyed something so much, I went out of my way to show my love for all of eternity.

5 Reasons to Take Paperbacks to a Book Signing

If you’re like me and don’t have a lot of paperbacks, you’ll want to start stocking up on your favorite books now to have them signed at Shameless Book Con 2016 in October!

Need a reference to know which authors are signing? Check out the updated list on the Authors Signing page.

5 Reasons To Take Paperbacks To A Book Signing

  1. Get Them Signed!
  2. The main reason for taking paperbacks to a book signing: you want the author to sign the books! Spending a few pennies on a souvenir that the author wrote, touched, signed to you, and – if you ask nicely – kissed, is a lovely reminder of something that made you happy.

  3. Connecting with the Author

It might only be a minute or so that you spend with the author when having her sign your favorite book, but I can promise you, that minute means the world to that author. Not to mention, you will remember meeting her and telling her just how much you loved her book.

  4. Supporting the Author

By purchasing a book you’ve already read – either because you borrowed it from someone or you read it on your Kindle – you’re giving extra love to an author for writing so prophetic, it will stay with you for-ev-er!

  5. We’re Visual People

We like looking at things we love, right? It’s why we plaster our walls with pictures of Balthazar Getty and Leo DiCaprio when we’re tweenagers. The same goes for our favorite books; we want to have visual reminders of books we love.

  6. We Like to Hug Things

Think ahead to when you’ll be standing in line with 1000 other book-obsessed fans, hugging your favorite books like they’re long lost loves. You’re welcome!

Can I buy tickets onsite?

We strongly recommend ordering your tickets beforehand through Eventbrite. Tickets will be available at the door ONLY if we have not reached our capacity limit.

Do you need my printed ticket to be admitted?

Please bring your printed ticket to pre-registration or to the events to expedite entry. If it’s not possible to have a printed ticket, we can scan your registration from your phone. Please have the code available for scanning at registration.

What can/can’t I bring to #SBC16?

Books to be Signed
Attending a book signing is an exciting event for everyone, especially those who are anxious to meet your favorite authors. To help all attendees get the most out of the event, we ask that you refrain from bringing pull-carts and/or luggage full of books. If you plan to have a truck-load of books signed, we suggest that you store the bulk of your books in your hotel room and trade them out part-way through the signing. Also, keep in mind that Books-A-Million will be on site selling traditionally published books, and Indie authors will have books available for sale at their tables, too.

Memory Makers
You’ll see a lot of readers carrying posters, picture frames, t-shirts, photo albums, and scrapbooks for authors to sign. All of these are welcome! Look for ideas on what to bring to have signed at #SBC16 on the Facebook Page as we get closer to the event.

What should I wear to the signing?

The first thing anyone who has ever been to a larger-scale author signing will tell you is that you should wear comfortable shoes! You will be doing a lot of standing and walking, so it’s not the best time to try out those new Manolos, sassypants. Save the cute shoes for the parties!

Many attendees and some authors will be showing off their allegiance to their favorite authors and book blogs with cute t-shirts! Wear yours without shame! Shameless Book Con will have shirts available to order this summer. The #SBC16 Facebook Page will have all the details when they become available.

Now’s the time to look fabulous! If you are attending the Friday night VIP Reception, we’d love to see your cute self in your new dress, your favorite LBD, or any cocktail-hour outfit.
Saturday night’s Costume Ball will be when you want to dress to IMPRESS! More details will come this summer, but know that we plan to get down and get dirty!

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Shameless Book Con is an adult event and children are strongly discouraged from attending daytime events. No one under 18 will be allowed at any evening events. No one under 18 will be admitted for UnHoly Day with Tiffany Reisz.

Where should I stay while I’m in Orlando?

All important information you’ll need for staying onsite at the DoubleTree at Universal Orlando can be found here.

What are my transport options for getting to the event? And what about parking?

Although there is not a hotel shuttle available, Orlando offers many transportation options to get you from the airport to the hotel. We suggest setting up transportation prior to landing through Uber or Mears, or check out other options provided by the hotel. You can also ask a friend to pick you up since the hotel is only 20 minutes from Orlando Int’l Airport (MCO). (Just please don’t ask Angie to pick you up in her teeny tiny MINI. Plus, she’ll be super busy getting ready for your arrival!)

Parking will be available at the event at a discounted rate. More info will be available this summer.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

The best way to get answers and up-to-date information is to contact us on the Shameless Book Con Facebook Page.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Entry will be granted to whoever has the ticket in hand, regardless of the name on the ticket. The ticket is good for entry for one person and cannot be transferred after entry.

Is my registration/ticket refundable?

No. Tickets may not be returned for a refund, but you may give your ticket to another reader. We will not verify names at check in.

Can I update my registration information?

Eventbrite will allow you to update your information if you have set up an account when you purchased your tickets. If you have questions about your Eventbrite account, please contact Eventbrite.

Can I volunteer? (added 1.27.16)

At this time, we have as many volunteers as we need.

Will there be cover models at the signing? (added 1.27.16)

At this time, we don’t have cover models scheduled to attend.
