He pulls back with a quiet grunt and tells me, “Watch me.” The next four words are spoken into the delicate skin of my clit: “Watch me kiss you.”

“I want to watch you come,” he whispers, eyes moving across my face. He pulls his thumb back and paints a wet line across my lower lip. “I want to feel you squeezing me and I want to eat your greedy little noises.”

“…When you chose the adventure, it becomes real life.”

“No, I don’t care about your brain. I mean your boobs. I really only care about boobs.”

“I want his approval, I want his anger. I want the sharp smack of his hand across my breast only seconds before he delivers it. He knew.”

I can already tell that Sweet Filthy Boy will be one of those books I recommend people buy and read, then you all come back and tell me how glad you did and how worth it the purchase was. Yes, it is a bit of a higher-priced book, but like a gourmet cup of coffee or dessert after dinner, you need to treat yourself to something really good sometimes.

Ansel and Mia make for a classically adorable couple that I want to know more about when the book ended. Sweet Filthy Boy is a definite must-read book, especially for those of us who believe true-to-life characters can have their fairy tales come true.

Ansel and Mia’s relationship comes with its fair share of challenges. She’s due to start business school in Boston and his home base is Paris. When Mia agrees to spend the summer with him, things do not turn out as you may expect. Ansel is holding a secret, one that could undermine their relationship. Paris is a perfect backdrop for this story and Christina Lauren always brings the heat.

Funny, totally out-there, sexy read about a girl at a crossroads in her life who’s Vegas fling turns into something more. The beginning of the story is a cliche Vegas weekend full of drinking and wild sex. Lots of hot, wild sex. The majority of the story is hot, wild sex. And I’m not complaining. We get a little angst, but not much. I thought the ending seemed a bit rushed, but this book is #likecandy. It’s a sweet, witty, sexy, easy read.

Sweet Filthy Boy Summary

One-night stands are supposed to be with someone convenient, or wickedly persuasive, or regrettable. They aren’t supposed to be with someone like him.

But after a crazy Vegas weekend celebrating her college graduation—and terrified of the future path she knows is a cop-out—Mia Holland makes the wildest decision of her life: follow Ansel Guillaume—her sweet, filthy fling—to France for the summer and just…play.

When feelings begin to develop behind the provocative roles they take on, and their temporary masquerade adventures begin to feel real, Mia will have to decide if she belongs in the life she left because it was all wrong, or in the strange new one that seems worlds away

Website for Christina Lauren

Lauren Billings (but everyone calls her Lo) has a Ph.D. in neuroscience and before she made writing her full-time job, would spend her days doing nerdy research-type things wearing a lab coat and goggles. She is silly Mommy to two littles, wife to one mountain biking homebrewing scientist, bestie to a shoe-stealer, and an unabashed lover of YA and romance.

Christina Hobbs (but you’ll always hear Lo call her PQ) used to spend her days in a junior high counseling office surrounded by teenagers. Married to the cutest boy in school, she has a thirteen year old daughter, is an unapologetic lover of boy bands and glitter, and also likes to steal Lo’s shoes.

“Your hair is awesome and wild, I love that shit … and your eyes. Fuck me, but your eye could inspire men to go to war, to paint works of art, to rip their goddamn heart out of their chet an offer it to you without a second thought.. then and now.”

There was some kind of current dragging and pulling between us that I didn’t trust, didn’t particularly like, but it was strong, and fighting its momentum was wearing me out, wearing me down. I actually wanted to spend time with him.

I resigned myself to the fact that whatever symphony of self-destruction I had created had played its last note. Since I was the composer, I had nowhere else to lay the blame.

Nelle Says:
The latest in Jay Crownover’s Marked Men series brings us the story of Nash and Saint. The couple knew each other back in high school, but those interactions left some scars on Saint’s heart. Years later, when Nash and Saint cross paths the chemistry is palpable; but Saint is un-trusting of the new Nash. Fans do the series will enjoy catching up with the whole Marked Men family and meeting some new, intriguing characters.

Marissa Says:
Jay loves to write her men tortured and with traumatic pasts, and this latest addition to her Marked series is no different. Nash had an unloving childhood until he went to live with his uncle, and from there was raised to be the man he is now. He was a hellion in school, getting arrested for graffiti, but his uncle taught him to use his gift of art in legal ways, by tattooing people, and also learn to run a tattoo parlor with his best friend, Rule, from book one. We met Saint in the previous book, and she also had issues with a childhood of bullying that had left deep scars. It was hard watching Saint push back against a relationship with Nash because she just couldn’t see herself as beautiful or worthy.

We do see everyone from the past three books, and there is some mild spoilers, but overall this is a great addition to the series. Watching Nash not only overcome everything going on his life, but also breaking down Saint’s barriers, with some heart wrenching scenes that made me tear up, it all made them a highlight of the book. Plus, Jay gives us some insight into who the next couple is that will be falling in love, and I can’t wait for that ride.
