I'm not sure what I was expecting with this book, but it was nothing like what I thought it would be... it was SO MUCH MORE! The complexity and layers that Jewel built with these characters over the course of the story was brilliant. I totally felt like I was living and growing right along with them through the years. Don't let the synopsis fool you, this is a book about star crossed, fated love. A love at first sight that must overcome multiple challenges, obstacles and heartbreaks to be fully realized. I laughed out loud, I sobbed big ugly tears, I swooned, I wanted to smack some sense into them and I prayed for their peace. Such a beautifully written story. I HIGHLY recommend this one!

About This Book
Our Favorite Quotes
Vulnerability takes more strength than anything else in life. You have to be willing to feel absolutely every emotion. Vulnerability is the sharpest knife, the longest marathon, the highest mountain.
So this is what it feels like to understand that the world is not a place or destination. It's a moment. When we touch, it's the world. It's life.
The world is big, but our time here is small and precious. Life is meant to be lived, not solved. And love... well, it's like a white t-shirt with french fries and ketchup. It's messy, but worth the risk.
