I just love gruff bear shifters. They always seem so dangerous and mean, but you give them their mate and suddenly they’re purring like a kitten. Grizz and Jordy might be my favorite couple of this series. Though you see some of the alphas from previous books, this focuses more on Grizz’s secrets and why he’s helping vampires. Then, he finds Jordy and now he realizes he has something new to fight for and help. I love how protective and angry he gets on her behalf, wanting to make her life better while also getting revenge for her. But Jordy is sweet and soft-hearted, so she just wants someone to love and take care of her. They were the perfect match.

Watching him cook in the kitchen is like having Godzilla knit you a sweater. The great and powerful executing the mundane. Every little domestic thing he does is a miracle.

I don't meant to - it's not slave-like at all - but I reach down and grip his hair, tugging him into me again. He chuckles. "That's right, little fox. Take your pleasure."

His grin is feral. "You like that, little fox? You need me to hold you down while I make you scream?"

Bad Boy Alphas Series

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
