Lina Says:
The anticipation for this book just about killed me. I’m so glad that I survived and got the chance to read it, though. The eighth installment in the Masters of the Shadowlands series, the series of Dominant Hawtness, had the hotness multiplied by two, cause TWO FBI agents, two Masters for our sassy Sally. The dreams and fantasies those two inspired in me before I got to read their story were almost (almost, because I have a very good imagination) put to shame by the actual tactics they employed in bringing Sally to heel. And in the seduction, and the chase. I loved the chase. To me, cause I’m a perv, the chase is so seductive in and of itself and fun to watch (read). I had so many laughs watching Sally’s shenanigans and the reactions she got from the Feds. Some she liked, some not so much. But such was the danger of playing with fire, I mean, two Masters who also happen to be FBI agents. Duh, right? Oh Sally, you made me so happy.

Of course, there was more to the story than just shenanigans and hot Feds-sex (that just became a term). There was the Harvest Association, the slave traffickers, who needed to be taken down. So, there was some scary, some ominous foreshadowing, some action. And we got to visit with some old friends from previous books, which was nice as well. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading well written BDSM romance. This was definitely a classic Cherise Sinclair book and I’m planning to reread it many, many times. Lina Says:
This book is so fun. I mean, it opens with a ghost hunt. So you know the sillies are coming. It’s well written and the characters are very real, very down to earth. You won’t find any billionaires and/or CEOs here. The chemistry between the protagonists is very obvious. It’s clear they all genuinely like each other and have fun together. There is lots of hot sex and BDSM. And all the bratting is super fun, as is Jude’s way of handling it. He gets pretty creative – it’s the Badass Brats, so you know…brattiness is a requirement. I’m not usually a fan of bratty behavior, it’s too attention-seeking, but it works here. A lot of it is playful and shows a different way to do BDSM – more lighthearted, without taking it (and themselves) too seriously. This is a great example of how sexy and funny can be combined in a way that really works.

And the diversity of the sexy and BDSM scenes adds to the hotness factor for me. I liked that I couldn’t always predict where the scene was going and what Jude would do next or how his brats would react to it. There is genuine affection and camaraderie and moments of sadness that are balanced out with moments of pure joy. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun menage romance story with hot sex (F/F and M/F/F scenes). And if you like ghosts. You should read this story if you like ghosts. Lina’s Full Review [/box_light]

Chloe’s Double Draw by Fiona Archer

Favorite Quote:
“Let’s just say Noah and Flynn enjoy the chase, and when they catch their woman, they keep her tied so she stays caught when they play.”

“’So, you take no prisoners, huh?’
Flynn leaned in close. Her pulse clicked up a gear at the deliberate invasion of her personal space. ‘No, sweetie. We take prisoners, of the short, female variety. We just don’t fight fair when we catch ‘em.’”

Lina Says:
This book brings the Dom hotness – a combination of cowboys (with scuffed cowboy boots) with ex-SAS (Australian Special Air Service, an elite force, like our Navy SEALs) in one, well two, well built, protective packages with Australian accents to top it all off. Yes, please. Sign me up! I would love to be Chloe and be the inside of this Flynn and Noah sandwich!

I really loved that Chloe doesn’t just roll over for them, hotness and Aussie accents and all, she makes them work for it. Though, she works pretty hard to make them work for it (is your head spinning yet?). They’re the type of alpha men who do not take no for an answer and, when danger strikes, they protect what – or who – they consider to be theirs, whether she likes it or not. And that, for me, is super fun, because there’s a bit of a chase, some reluctance, and some excitement. It opens up all kind of opportunities for the plot to twist when the characters are acting all unpredictable. I loved that about this story – there was lots of sexiness, the BDSM was authentic, even if things did progress a bit fast. And I liked the characters and wanted them to be happy by the end. And I’m very much looking forward to the next book in this series, coming some time in the beginning of 2014.[/box_light]

Lina Says:
This is one of the sexiest M/F/M stories ever. There’s so much sexiness that happens in this story. A lot of sexiness. Did I mention the sexiness? This is the type of story you go to when you are looking for a fun read that you can enjoy with your vibrator. Or maybe right before seeing your significant other, cause you’ll need their help. The heroine starts off very naïve, which, for me, is always a plus when she also manages to not be TSTL (you know, too stupid to live). Meaning that Riley, despite her naivete, manages to come across as mature, adventurous, and (gasp) smart. The two heroes are very alpha and they introduce Riley to the darker side of pleasure, to control or, well, to submission really. There is some danger and conflict, some ominous foreboding to keep the readers on their toes. I’d recommend this story just for the hotness level, because, quite frankly, my temperature rises just thinking about Cade and Trevor. I’d trade places with Riley any day of the week.[/box_light]

Coming *heh* next week, Lina recommends Meeting a Neighbor’s Needs & A Neighbor’s Ultimatum by Qwillia Rain.

Angie

Hi. My name is Angie, and I’m a social-media-and-smut-book-reading addict. Hi… Angie… I’ve been working hard on the magical internet since 2006 when I retired from teaching elementary school to stay at home with my two baby girls. Now, I am a smut peddler. You can follow my nonsense on Twitter and Facebook. Simply, I’m just a girl, looking at the book world, asking it to love her.
