Bunny and the Bear by Eve Langlais

+ Favorite Quotes

There was only one solution left – other than moving to Siberia – he’d have to do the bunny. And in do, he meant fuck her six ways from Sunday, in every position possible until his balls shriveled up and fell off.

“I care about you and the idea that someone might want to hurt you makes me want —”
“Have angry sex?”
“No, it makes me want to —”
“Have make-up sex?”
“No. Would you let me finish? It makes me want to —”
“I know, kill something.”

“I love you,” he announced. “You crazy, rascally rabbit. You drive me freaking mental. You make me want to gag you at times, mostly with my cock.”

Marissa Says:
I love Eve Langlais. In a lot of her books, especially her shifter romances, it’s all about the sex and laughter. And in this series, you are not shorted of either of those. I highlighted so many funny passages in this story that I had to flip a coin on which ones to use for my review. Plus, if you aren’t laughing, you are holding your breath in suspense or getting all hot and bothered in the bedroom. Eve throws you curveballs in her stories, and it’s no different in this book that starts out the Furry United Coalition series (or FUC for short – see what she did there?).

In this series, Eve pairs up 2 animals that are on total opposites of the spectrum. Who would think a bear and a bunny could fall in love and live happily ever after? You’ll fall in love with Miranda, the super energetic and happy bunny as she tries to protect Chase, the grumpy grizzly bear. As she’s protecting him, she’s not only falling in love with him, she’s turning his frowns upside down. [/box_light]

TRUE by Laurann Dohner

+ Favorite Quotes

“I’m mating you. It’s not up for debate. No one is taking you from me, ever.”

“You changed my life, True. I think I fell in love with you from the moment I met you and you spoke to me.”

“You took pain for me.” His voice deepened. “You suffered so I could live. I never thought anyone could love me, Jeanie.”

Marissa Says:
The latest in the New Species series, this one does not disappoint. I think True may be my favorite so far. We still get more back story of what the New Species endured while being raised and held for testing. I like how Laurann shows the ways the two main characters meet, fall in “like” with each other and then are separated against their wills. Then, True and Jeanie are reunited under a tense situation, and luckily he knows she belongs to him so he can protect her.

I thought there was a lot more suspense in this one as well, and of course, the bedroom antics were delightful as always. Those New Species males sure know how to please their mates. This was another great addition to the series, and though you can read this as stand alone, you do see a lot of the characters from previous books so there are some slight spoilers in this book.[/box_light]

About Marissa

MarissaMy first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic. Follow me on Goodreads

Hi. My name is Angie, and I’m a social-media-and-smut-book-reading addict. Hi… Angie… I’ve been working hard on the magical internet since 2006 when I retired from teaching elementary school to stay at home with my two baby girls. Now, I am a smut peddler. You can follow my nonsense on Twitter and Facebook. Simply, I’m just a girl, looking at the book world, asking it to love her.
