Trisha Wolfe is a go-to author for me. Her books always deliver a suspenseful, erotic world that consumes you from the first chapter. I wanted to hate Luke after he kidnapped Makenna but it was easy to see that there was more to him than meets the eye. He is rough around the edges, living behind a hard exterior so he can do his job but finds it hard to control himself once she is in his control. Secrets are reveled leading to twists and turns that bring about an explosive finale and once the chemistry between them boils over, there is no stopping the lust fueled train. There is a lot of inner turmoil for each of these characters and Trisha's storytelling always leads to brilliant character development and nail biting plots. I honestly could not put this book down.

He’s the fiend of my nightmares.
He’s what I see in the storm.
Monsters shouldn’t be beautiful—but this one is. A beautiful demon amid his dark cellar hell.
She’s all soft curves and stunning beauty. I take her in, every sexy, alluring inch, and a degree of that hard-fought control slips. Christ. There’s an animal battering against my walls, thrashing to get out, to get at her. I grip the counter and damn near tear it from the wall. If she wasn’t scared of me before, she should be now.
His gaze roams over me, taking in my bared breasts, and I see the hunger there—what I never saw in Hudson’s eyes, that raw, wanton desire. Luke looks at me like he wants to possess me, consume me. As if it’s almost painful, if he can’t be inside me. And it’s the most intoxicating feeling. I’m drunk on the power of it; that I can own him so completely.

Synopsis
From USA Today best-selling author Trisha Wolfe comes one of her most darkly intense thrillers.
To hunt a killer, I search the darkest corners of Seattle. As a private investigator, I comb through the seediest organizations to locate my prey.
There's a monster roaming the streets, and his blue, stone-cold eyes are all I see when I close mine. That he lives haunts my waking hours. Through the storm, I watched him murder a man. I saw his evil. And when the moment strikes to exact my revenge, he steals the only witness to his crime.
Me.
In his cellar, I unravel every dark and twisted secret; the sordid mystery that entangles both our lives. When the storm passes, and the dark chamber has heard our confessions, which one of us will survive the truth?
