I loved this story line and how all over the place it was in terms of keeping you guessing what really happened 10 years ago! Clint was wrongfully convicted of a crime Emily believes she saw him commit and is back home after serving his time. The two cross paths again and while there is intense emotion and feelings there, they aren't all bad. Even with a disturbing history, there is no denying the chemistry between the two! You just keep trying to figure it all out as the story continues. Who is lying? Who committed the murder? Who is involved and who helped orchestrate it? I was intrigued until the very end and even then, I was completely caught off guard!

She walked all the way around him, touched each scar on his back with her fingers first, then with her lips. He shuddered each time her mouth landed against his skin. The salty taste and smooth texture made her hunger for more. Made her body vibrate with need.

His arms went around her in a brutal hold. She didn't fight him, no matter that fear had joined the mix of wild sensations whirling inside her. She has earned whatever punishment chose to levy.

Who killed Emily Wallace's best friend ten years ago? Emily is certain it was Clint Austin, the town bad boy. As the key witness, Emily ensured Clint was convicted and sentenced for the crime. When he is released on parole, Emily is determined that he never forget what he has done.

Clint Austin served ten years for a crime he did not commit. No one or nothing is going to stand in his way of finding the truth and clearing his name--not even the naive young girl he once loved from afar.

When the fire between them blazes out of control, will either one survive? Or will the real killer strike again?

I read. I create. I get in trouble. That is me in a nutshell. I live in a snarky, artistic, eclectic world where BDSM and Dark Erotica are high on my reading list. I yearn for a really raw, gritty book where the lead guy/girl is more like a villain and I am left completely mindf*cked. The more the usual lines of morality are blurred, the better. I am an Alice in Wonderland Freak, an Edgar Allan Poe lover and an ocean addicted mermaid. I like originality when it comes to my books. The dirtier, the better.
