This was my first book by Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy, and I absolutely loved it! It's a prison romance between a pair of cockatrices - a spunky prisoner and a dirty talking, sexy prison guard. The fun characters, the humor, and the sexy times all come together to make this book a must read. The fact that the characters are cockatrices is a huge part of the fun - as their feathers and tails react to their chemistry before their brains do. It also takes place in a larger, multiple author, world of prison romance, and I am really enjoying the small moments of crossover in the stories!

Sliding my palms up, I bury both hands in his wet hair and guide the pressure of his face against my pussy. He's giving me control while also giving me pleasure. He's on his knees, taking my small digs of pain, while dishing out nothing but laps of pleasure. So damn sexy.
"That's right, Sunrise, ride it out. You feel so fucking good," Rook says into my ear as he slows his pace slightly and grinds against me more with each thrust. The new rhythm does all kinds of things for me, and just when I expect my orgasm to slip away, he works to make it lap steadily against my insides instead. Holy shit, that's good.
I feel every inch of his dick as it buries into me balls deep before whipping out and thrusting right back in again. Over and over, he propels his hips forward until smacking skin and my own garbled moans and incoherent words are all that I can hear. His hold on my hair keeps me in place as he gives me everything I can take.

Synopsis
Nightmare Penitentiary is no joke. The worst of the worst in the paranormal world end up at NP, and I just got sentenced there.
For others, this might be cause for freaking the hell out. But for me, it’s a fucking relief.
You see, I’ve been sold off to the big bad asshole, Alpha Bowen—thanks mom and dad! But if they think I’m going to go quietly, or at all, they haven’t been paying attention to how I roll.
Nightmare Penitentiary is the perfect place to escape, and I’m ready. If only people would stop trying to break me out. Seriously, it’s annoying.
I’m ready to relax and serve my sentence, but then I meet the prison guard, Rook. I can’t seem to escape his heated stares, the head wobbles, or the dimples. Sweet pop rocks, the dimples!
You’re not supposed to meet the male of your dreams in prison, but tell that to fate. Too bad I’m not as out of reach from the troubles hunting me down as I thought…and now, there’s nowhere to run because, like, I got myself imprisoned. FML.
