Holy Hell. Penelope Douglas sure knows how to write. I loved how she gives us glimpses of the past, to see how it all started, then switches to the present. All of the characters (the good and bad ones) are beautifully written and you’ll have a hard time hating most of them by the end. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat, wondering what’s coming next, thinking the story is going one way and then you hit a plot twist. This story definitely has dark overtones, but there is no excessive violence or sexual violence against Rika. You will get a book hangover from this story for sure, but it is so worth it.
Total. Book. Hangover. It's been few days and I'm still not over it. I'm a HUGE fan of Penelope Douglas and her way of making you fall in love with the bad boy. In this case, there's not one, but FOUR bad boys. I was sucked in from the first paragraph and hooked until the last word, totally addicted to this story.....and now I'm jonesing for Kai!!
I had a hard time putting this book down. Actually, I don't think I put it down. I could not stop reading it. I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. Penelope Douglas does an amazing job at pulling you in from Chapter one. Corrupt is a dark psychological thriller with the perfect amount of mindf*cking, lust-filled sex. I knew what I was reading was twisted and dirty but, dear God, I needed more. Seriously, it contains one of the hottest M/F/M sex scenes I have ever read. I am still thinking and fantasizing about "The Four Horsemen" days later even though I have a deep Love/Hate relationship with each of them. This book consumed me and I enjoyed every second of it.
