This book took me on an unexpected journey. I went into it knowing it would have a dark theme, but I was blown away by how much I enjoyed the plot! Emmy finds herself thrown into a crazy world full of sex, slavery and prison-like living conditions. There are many trigger warnings here like abuse, forced sex and others. That being said, it is far from the darkest that I have read. While the book is twisted in nature, the story is enticing and compelling and I really enjoyed reading about the four brothers (especially Adam) and the depravity that goes on in the house. Emmy & Adam's dynamic is full of sexual tension and lust, and when it comes together it is explosive!

He raises his left arm and presses his palm against the wall, simultaneously caging me in and blocking Raife from my view. Then he drips his head just enough to look at me fully. Something flickers in his eyes as he traces every inch of my face, and I can't tell if he wants to fuck me or hurt me.
A slow tremor runs through me. Jesus, that should not turn me on.
"I should tell you, little mouse," he murmurs. The hand around my neck disappears before he brushes the hair out of my face, and a muscle in his jaw ticks. "I never lose."
"... I would tell you to run" - his strong hand clutches my throat, and I gasp as somersaults go off in my stomach - but I'd only catch you. And then Id' crush you."
"So crush me," I breath, my chest pounding to a new beat. "I don't want to be whole anymore. i want you to see my pieces."
