This story sends you down a path of happiness one minute and then crushing sadness the next. Ivy and Aiden have a beautiful connection, one that has remained from childhood. Ivy's life has been anything but easy and her struggles are at the forefront of this book. B. Celeste revolves the plot around it, but doesn't let it become overpowering and I thought that was really smart because you got to really focus on her and Aiden. He cares for her so much and watching him try to become her everything was one of my favorite things about this story. I honestly felt his character was so mature for his age and as Ivy began to open up and trust him, he really falls naturally into that protector role. This book gave me all the feels. It is fast paced. It is emotional. It is a roller coaster of emotions but I promise the ride is worth it!

“Not that it’s any of your business, but I do have a hot date. Tangled sheets and all.”
My nostrils flare when we lock eyes, and she smiles innocently at me. “With whom?”
“None of your damn business,” she snaps back quickly.
I stop what I’m doing and lean my palms on the edge of the counter to hold myself up. “I’d say it is considering you had my cock in your hand only days ago.”
“Deals are meant to be broken sometimes, but loyalty never is.” His low tone has me clenching my hands into fists and squeezing. “Who says I’m loyal to you, Aiden Griffith?”
The slowest, most calculated smile forms on his face, making an eerie feeling creep into my chest and wrap around the beating organ that drums in my ribcage. “Baby, I don’t think you’ve ever stopped.”
His hand moves to brush fallen hair out of my face so there’s no obstruction of view. I see the intensity in his eyes as they take me in.
All of me. My past. My present.
“Let me be a reason to smile,”
Stepping into her until she’s pinned between me and the wall, I lift my hand to her cheek and brush my fingertips against her skin. Moving a piece of fallen blue hair behind her ear, I soak in the familiar scent of my shampoo that she’s been using from my shower. I love seeing her in my clothes, smelling like me, taking over my space. I’ve never felt as territorial as I do right now.
He moves like he’s lost in the feeling, like there’s nothing else. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. And when I find myself back on top and riding his dick, I can’t help but look at his lust-filled eyes and slick skin damp with sweat, and fully understand what’s going on right now as I feel my spine tingle and tummy tighten. Aiden Griffith waited for me.

Synopsis
When I asked my best friend to run away with me at sixteen, I knew he’d say no.
He had football, an amazing family, and a happy home to go back to every day.
So the night I snuck out of his bedroom window after hugging him goodbye, I’d accepted I’d probably never see him again.
Then we both wind up at Lindon University four years later.
I’m barely picking up the pieces of my life when the boy whose initials I used to doodle hearts around approaches me at work.
Aiden Griffith. Lindon U’s star tight end.
Still as attractive. Still as dedicated.
With rumors of him being drafted to the NFL coming to fruition, I know it’s only a matter of time before we have to say goodbye again.
But he can’t seem to let me go no matter what I say, and I don’t think I want him to.
