I like going into a book expecting one thing, and the author, writing, and story give me pleasant surprises. For some reason, I thought this was going to be a fluffy story, with hot sex thrown in to add some spice in between the suspense. But, what I got was a well written story-line, fleshed out characters, plus mystery and suspense. The story centers around a grim reaper, part of the dark Fae, and a human woman who can see the future. You’ll love how strong Mila is, even the hero commented multiple times how she was not letting anything keep her down. The hero, Frenzy, was dealing with his own demons, hating his life and how he worked for the dark Fae queen, and he also did not want to help a lowly human. I enjoyed the author’s additions to Fae mythology, and even if you aren’t familiar with this type of paranormal genre, you won’t be lost because most of the story remains in the human realm. ~Marissa [June 2014]

As a Seer, Mila O'Fallen is one of the last humans capable of channeling visions of the past and future. The one thing she can't see is her own fate, but she knows it's grim. All types of ruthless, supernatural creatures want to use her abilities, and they will do anything to gain access to her powers. When vampires descend upon her, it looks like the end-until a formidable figure appears. She feels a connection to him that is instant, unearthly, and explosive.

Grim reaper Frenzy never thought he would see the eyes of his lover again. She was murdered centuries ago, but her amber eyes are alive in Mila. Though it's not his job to protect humanity, something tells him protecting this human is what he was born to do. Yet vampires are the least of their worries. Frenzy and Mila quickly learn that a dark force is matching their every step. And even as they crave each other, the darkness craves them . . .

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
