A story of 2 amazing humans who share one magical night falling in love. Then 2 years later they struggle to unravel the complicated histories, realities and insecurities keeping them apart. Man oh man, Brittainy has a way with writing broken people unlike any other author. You love them, but you also want to punch them in the face sometimes, lol! We met Connor Roe in Southern Storms, when he was just an ambitious, witty and charismatic teenager. You do not have to read that story prior to this one, but boy was it fun to read him all grown up. I loved this story!!! Especially the night Connor and Aaliyah met… seriously, I live for serendipitous story lines like this, it’s the reason I read romance. Another fantastic book from one of my favorite authors! ❤

He was the eastern lights that shone over me for a short period of time, in such a vibrant way reminding me that I wasn't alone. He was the light that touched my darkness.

Sometimes - most of the time - love was a storm at war.

Life is created by habits. We teach the world how to treat us, and that all comes down to how we treat ourselves.

I once met a man on a cold Halloween night. He dressed as a superhero, and I dressed in red. For one night, I was his break from reality, and he was the temporary fix for my broken heart.

Two years later, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime to become a senior editor at one of the biggest magazine companies in the world. The only catch? Nail an exclusive interview with New York’s finest bachelor: Connor Roe.

To the rest of the world he was becoming one of the wealthiest men in New York City. To me, he was simply my once upon a time superhero.

My job was to get an exclusive interview with New York’s hottest bachelor. Never in my life did I expect him to want an exclusive with my heart, too.

The only problem with my growing feelings for him? I was set to marry his new business partner.

I'm a mom of 2 rad AF adults, 1 fresh baby and a super cute fur babe. Hospital administration by day, yoga instructor by night, travel junkie, shoe addict, foodie and avid reader in all the spaces in-between. I got my love of books from my mama and honestly can’t remember a time in my life where reading wasn’t a daily priority. I’m a sappy hopeless romantic who’s a sucker for 2nd chances, mature characters, and serendipitous connections. In an ideal world, you can find me on the beach with an icy cold adult libation in one hand and my Kindle in the other.
