If you need a low angst but high heat romance, then this one will have you hooked. Alexei is one of my favorite type of heroes, the swoony, gentle giant that has no problem throwing alpha vibes at his heroine. I was falling in love with him right alongside Ryleigh, watching him be the baby whisperer and overprotective man, but also letting her be strong on her own. He just loved being her rock and making her life better. And their chemistry was hot, Kendall wrote some great sex scenes and dirty thoughts that Alexei and Ryleigh had about each other. I also enjoyed the dual POV so you really got to know both characters and watch them fall in love.

Ryleigh's smile fades away as I fuck her in long, deep thrusts. Pleasure-filled cries pierce the air as I move within her. She's perfect.

My knees are trembling, and it's not from the wine. It's from the drop-dead sexy man who's babysat all day, cooked me a hot meal, and was thoughtful enough to remember that I like a shower when I get home from work.

I work my hands beneath her dress and push her panties aside, stroking her wet, silky flesh while she makes a pleasure-filled sound of need.

From The Publisher

He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective.

He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines.

I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month.

So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby.

I’m clueless about babiesβ€”and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t. With six nieces and nephews and an apparent hero complex, the dude is both sexy and more than capable. It’s a combination that makes it easy to forget we’re just playing house.

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
