I loved this debut novel by #Shameless18 author Jessica Marin. Heartbreak Warfare has angst, emotional drama, lust and passion. Jenna has been through a lot in the past, suffering heartache through a divorce and rising from the ashes. I loved how fearless and strong she was, making something from nothing and moving forward through it all. Cal is a movie star and extremely full of himself. He has that smoldering, arrogant, alpha thing going on that I love to hate. The two worlds collide and it is sexy and amazing. There are feelings there that neither can deny and the back and forth banter is amusing. Secondary characters really bring this story together (I loved her friends) and Cal's adoration for Jenna really shines at the end. I cannot wait for more!

He opens the door, walks us in, spins me around, and pushes me against the door to devour my lips. He was wrong about not having edible dessert, as his lips are the most decadent of desserts I've ever had.
I watch him watch our bodies come together, and I completely come undone at the sight of him throwing his head back and yelling out his release.
His stare is so intense that I have to bite my lip to keep back the moan that wants to slip out, my body wishing he was back inside of me.
From The Publisher
A business trip to Vegas offers Jenna a sexy one-week stand, in this strong debut novel from Jessica Marin.
The last thing Jenna Pruitt has time for is sinfully gorgeous movie star, Cal Harrington. Meeting him in first class should have ended there on the plane, but after a failed marriage, she finds herself drawn in to his desire for her. Needing a little fun in life, she can’t help but agree to spend the week with him.
No strings, no expectations. Just one sexy week in Vegas, and Jenna can put him, and their time together, behind her. She doesn’t want the life that Cal comes with, but the further into the week they get, the more her heart and mind battle.
When he burns her with his kisses, her heart wants him.
But at the same time, her brain knows Cal has nothing but ‘heartbreak’ written all over his well-defined body.
One thing is certain.
Jenna’s about to lose herself to heartbreak warfare.
