Since Jade is one of my "I'll read anything she writes" authors, I didn't hesitate to dive into Heartless the moment it was released. Man, she creates characters and book realities that are so cruel and crazy at times, it is hard to believe it was born from someones mind. Lucian hates Elaine and her family but what happens when lust filled rage begins to be fueled by desire? Can love really be born from hate? Lucian is sadistic and cruel in every way possible and even though Elaine knows this, she can't help but be drawn to him - "He could’ve snapped my neck with his fingers still inside me, and I knew it." This story is deeply twisted in many ways and I am not sure if there will be a HEA in the second part but I am also not 100% sure I want one!
