A perfect, short read filled with heated chemistry and insta-love. Max is the rugged alpha type who quickly takes Pru (and her sister) under his wing, making their safety his business and main concern. He is infatuated with Pru and the passion between them is anything but subtle. Gia created a nice balance in this book, skirting over suspenseful topics like what Max does without involving all the violence that usually comes with it. It is well written and fast paced and though I wish it went a little deeper into their relationship, the fact that it all came together in the end made it a great read.
