Mara and Nate paint quite a picture of desire in His Pet. I really enjoyed the way the story played out. It was not over saturated with BDSM scenes and hype. There was a nice flow to their dynamic and the way it came to be. I did not read "His Toy" before I read this but now I am dying to know more about Nate so it is next up on my TBR list. Nate and Mara end up teaching one another a lot about their individual needs through play and pain and while their age difference and teacher/student role is somewhat "forbidden", it did not take away from the overall tone of their relationship. Sometimes taboo aspects can overshadow the story itself but Audrey Rush did a great job of keeping their dynamic front & center.

“You’re a creative little slut, aren’t you?” I whispered in her ear. “Now tell me, who controls you?”
Her movements were lazy, gentle, as if enticing herself, imagining it was me. Teasing me. Making me want more. The sleeve of her cardigan fell, exposing her wrists, bound in metal cuffs. Holy fucking hell.
I kneeled down, pressing her legs apart, spreading her wide. Her arousal shined on her lower lips, a tuft of hair on her mound, and I greedily licked it up, pulling her closer to the edge of the table, where I could worship her perfect pussy.
