Eve really turns the whole "scorned lover" trope on its head with this book and I loved it! Action, suspense, twists, witty dialogue, a second chance at love for a spy and their love/hate interactions were hilarious. It was funny seeing the guy getting his panties all twisted when the woman he loved turns out to be a spy and not the soft-spoken model he fell in love with, and then watching him fall in love with the real Francesca, realizing he likes the real version so much better. But of course, he can't give in to her again! And Francesca must not fall for Darren's pretty face because her mission to protect him is more important than stroking his male ego . . . and other male things. I think this is my favorite of the series so far, except I said that after every one of the books. Eve's characters are so unique and surprising, you never expect their reactions or some of the things they say.
