This novella sets the tone for the story of Gabriella & Ashton. It is a great teaser for a relationship that promises to be a powerful love story. Gabriella's current life is anything short of a fairytale. The beginning of this can be triggering for some as she goes through sexual and emotional abuse but the second Ashton comes knocking, you quickly forget all of that. I love the paranormal aspect to him. I feel like it makes him exotic! You can feel the attention to detail Chelsii put into the characters already in this novella so I look forward to the next chapter!
