What happens when you meet the one person who can make you smile and laugh after years of depression, but you can’t afford to fall in love with each other? In Bella Jewel’s latest story, two people see an unlikely friendship turn into love. Avery is trying to hold her family together after her mother disappeared, but she’s unhappy with the way her life is going. She meets gorgeous Nate, who’s own home life is dismal. It is heartbreaking seeing Avery become the “other woman” because of the magnetic pull between her and Nate. She fights her feelings, trying to maintain their friendship, but Nate’s sad home life makes being with Avery the highlight of his day and leads to their illicit trysts. There is heartbreak on both sides during the second half of the story, but I felt it was wrapped up a little too neatly towards the end with their affair. Nate’s racing, Avery’s mother’s disappearance, and a wake up call for Liam, Avery’s brother, who had been in a downward spiral for years, were explained away easily. But, I enjoyed all of the characters and I hope Bella makes this into a series to include Nate and Avery’s brothers.

I fell in love with a married man. It wasn’t how it was meant to go. But I don’t regret it.

A friendship is formed. A relationship is built out of the weakest foundations. A love that blossoms until it’s riding on the edge of dangerous. A forbidden love that will change their worlds forever.

My mother was taken from me when I was just a girl. She disappeared into nothing, leaving us no answers, no clues, and no closure.

Ten years on and my life has never been the same. My brother is withdrawn and angry, caught up in a world of drugs and pain. My father barely speaks.

I don’t have answers.

I don’t know if my mother is okay. I don’t know if my life will ever be the same.
How can you move on when you just don't know?

Then I meet Nate.

Champion Motocross Racer. Bad boy. Married.

He will soon become my everything. There’s only one problem with that. He’s not mine to have. Our relationship isn’t right. Our love is forbidden.

Nate teaches me to breathe again.

He teaches me to laugh. But most of all he teaches me that regardless of the pain I’ve lived through, that there is, in fact, Life After Taylah.

This book contains cheating in the form of a love affair. It has a HEA. No cliffhanger. 18+

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
