This book, GAH..this book is so so so so so so good! This is the first book by the fantastic duo Christina Lauren labeled as Women’s Fiction rather than romance, but let me tell you, this was an EPIC lifetime story of love! Sweet, fragile, kismet love that transcends time, heartache and lives challenges. Fated love. Destined, star crossed, deep soul connection love. It had wit and intelligence, respectfully honoring the alluring elegance and the profound strength of words, with an off the charts mental and physical chemistry that builds and builds and a suspenseful back story that has you anxiously flipping pages at lightning speeds dying to know what went wrong and just as equally on edge dying to know how it will be put back together. This is exactly the kind of story that I go GAGA for!

“Limerence.” There’s no other word like it: The state of being infatuated with another person.
“It seemed to travel with her, to sweep her aloft in the power of song, so that she was moving in a glory among the stars, and for a moment she, too, felt that the words Darkness and Light had no meaning, and only this melody was real.”
His hand came over my bare breast, his thumb and finger closing over the peak. It seemed like light flowed out of me from every pore; the pleasure and need were nearly blinding. He followed with his tongue, wet, his lips closing over me, sucking, and I pulled his thigh between my legs, insane for the relief, rocking against him until I melted, coming in front of him for the first time.

Love, loss, friendship, and the betrayals of the past all collide in this first women’s fiction novel from New York Times and #1 international bestselling author Christina Lauren (Autoboyography, Dating You / Hating You).
The story of the heart can never be unwritten.
Macy Sorensen is settling into an ambitious if emotionally tepid routine: work hard as a new pediatrics resident, plan her wedding to an older, financially secure man, keep her head down and heart tucked away.
But when she runs into Elliot Petropoulos—the first and only love of her life—the careful bubble she’s constructed begins to dissolve. Once upon a time, Elliot was Macy’s entire world—growing from her gangly bookish friend into the man who coaxed her heart open again after the loss of her mother...only to break it on the very night he declared his love for her.
Told in alternating timelines between Then and Now, teenage Elliot and Macy grow from friends to much more—spending weekends and lazy summers together in a house outside of San Francisco devouring books, sharing favorite words, and talking through their growing pains and triumphs. As adults, they have become strangers to one another until their chance reunion. Although their memories are obscured by the agony of what happened that night so many years ago, Elliot will come to understand the truth behind Macy’s decade-long silence, and will have to overcome the past and himself to revive her faith in the possibility of an all-consuming love.
