The one word I keep thinking of to describe this book is adorable. Everything about it is simply adorable. Cole and Cheyenne's relationship has a history and in a small town setting, history means everyone knows your business. Cole, as a dad, melted my my heart. I kept smiling as I read the parts with him and his daughter. It is no surprise to me that Cheyenne has loved him for as long as she has. I loved the slow build of their romance although, once the fire was lit I really kept wanting an EXPLOSION of passion. Don't get me wrong, there are some super heated moments, but the potential between these two to really light up the pages kept just lurking beneath the surface. All in all, Melanie Harlow gave us feel-good moments throughout this book that had me giggling and swooning non stop!

But it was fucking impossible to be quiet. I wanted her too much, it had been too long, and I had no idea when we’d get this chance again. I had zero control. I fucked her savagely, her back against the wall.
“He’s gorgeous and sweet and generous. He makes me laugh, he’s the best dad ever, and everyone who knows him says what a great guy he is.”
“Plus,” she went on, lowering her voice, “he’s an incredible kisser, he’s good with his hands, and as an added bonus, he has a huge dick and knows how to use it.”
He buried his face in my neck and kissed my throat, his hand stealing beneath my sweater. “Now I just want you right here in this bed.”
“Mmm. Works for me.”
“And I want you naked.”
I laughed. “Even better.”
He picked his head up and whispered against my lips. “And I want to make you scream as loud as you did that first night in this room.”
From The Publisher
He’s my brother’s best friend.
The hot single dad next door.
And one accidental sext later, my massive crush on him is no longer a secret.
It’s my own damn fault. I’m thirty years old, for heaven’s sake. I’m a kindergarten teacher and a (reasonably) responsible adult. I should know better than to get tipsy and draft a fake text listing all the dirty things I wish Officer Cole Mitchell would do to me.
I wasn’t supposed to hit send.
He wasn’t supposed to see it.
And he definitely wasn’t supposed to text back telling me to go on . . .
Because after that, things escalate quickly.
Cole is everything I’ve ever wanted. He’s sexy and protective. A devoted father to his little girl. A dedicated cop the whole town adores. The kind of guy you can trust to keep his hands to himself, even when you’re desperately hoping he won’t.
I’m not the girl he thought he’d end up with, but after all this time, I might finally get the chance to say the words I’ve always dreamed of . . . make me yours.
