I know it seems odd reading a Halloween novella in December but when it is Tijan, the norm just doesn't apply! This book is full of excitement and action. I do not do many paranormal/fantasy books but when I saw that Micaela was an "energist", I had to give it a try as it is something that has always peaked my interest. It is pretty wild reading about the different types of "beings" and how they all interact. Rakon and Micaela have a very interesting connection and chemistry. It is extremely sensual at times and powerful. The writing really paints the picture of a vivid world filled with magic and mystery. You will laugh a lot as well, which is always a plus! Tijan is a master of her craft and this novella is no exception.
