This book blew me away. The Midnight Fae Academy world introduced in book one captivated me, but the continuation in book two presented more pieces to the mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat. After the cliffhanger at the end of book one, Shade, Zeph and Kols were on thin ice with Aflora, and it was so much fun to watch what happened next. In this book, Lexi weaves a mysterious plot with clues in place that make it impossible to put down. I cannot wait for book three. Warning, this one ends with another cliffhanger, so wait for book three if that bothers you.

And then he began to take me, truly, with his hips pounding against mine. He'd been right about it being fast and hard, and it did hurt, just like he warned. But oh, it felt so good, too. I welcomed the scrapes against my back, bathed in the masculine growl coming from his chest as he pummeled into me, and tossed my head back on a sound of approval that probably echoed through the park.
"I want Kols to fuck me while I suck you off, then I want you to lick me clean." His nostrils flared at hearing his words repeated back to him, and Kols's arms tensed, his breaths shuddering out against my ear. "I love hearing you say the word fuck," Kols admitted softly. "So damn hot."
She screamed, her hips driving upward to meet mine, our pace becoming frantic as we both fought to find our release in a wave of insurmountable gratification. Time fucking stopped. Yet our hearts continued to beat, her blood pouring into my mouth as I took her with brutal thrusts that she responded to in kind. It was animalistic. Hot. Ferocious. Fucking.

I'm in purgatory.
A Midnight Fae dungeon.
All because my mates betrayed me.
Shade swears he's innocent.
Zeph promises that what he did was for my own best interest.
Meanwhile, Kols isn't apologetic in the slightest, his cocky arrogance claiming fate intervened at just the right moment.
I hate them all.
Crave them, too.
And now I have to work with them to solve a millennia-old secret, one that involves my true heritage.
Except our digging has awoken an ancient power and it's threatening to destroy the Midnight Fae realm with its vengeance.
If only the Academy offered courses in mediation.
I could use one of those right about now.
Because as it turns out, I'm the only one with the power to stop this thing from taking over.
And I have to rely on my mates to help guide me.
Welcome to Midnight Fae Academy, where the classes are useless and the male fae are all jackholes. Wish me luck.
Author's Note: This is a dark paranormal why choose trilogy with bully romance (enemies-to-lovers) elements. Despite Aflora's opinions on the matter, there will definitely be biting. Shadow, a.k.a. Shade, guarantees it. This book ends on a cliffhanger.
