This was such a great romantic fantasy story with an arranged marriage that leads to love. I enjoyed watching Brishen and Ildiko fall in love with each other’s physical differences and even though I feel their romance is almost cute and sweet, there are still steamy bedroom scenes mixed into the story. We also get an evil mother-in-law, assassination attempts, court intrigue, and a shocking happy-for-now ending. All of the evil and danger only helps the couple grow closer, with a couple of comedic scenes to lighten the mood a bit.
