    Our Recommendation

I have loved everything I’ve read of Gena’s and I was so excited for this new series. It had me hooked from the opening, I was already choosing characters I wanted to save and see in future books and then Gena would throw a plot twist in and mess it all up. Vale and Knox were funny together, both fighting their attraction and not wanting to be tied down by each other. Their inner monologues had me giggling and sighing and sometimes wanting to shake them so they’d just kiss already! Their stubbornness made for some great slow-building angst on when they’d finally give in to their chemistry. The world building had me antsy, trying to figure out how they were going to win and save the people they loved, but I loved watching Vale become a warrior for herself and Knox, plus falling in love with this brutal alpha-hole from another world. I cannot wait for the next couple.

He was a beast on the inside and a storybook prince on the outside, hot enough to send her hormones into overdrive. Ugh. This attraction to him had to end.
His hands and mouth wandered over every inch of her extraordinary body, and he felt like a conqueror who'd just discovered a new kingdom to plunder.
If he bedded her, perhaps he could finally, blessedly, end his strange, too-strong desire for her. Worth a shot. Had any other man ever considered such a genius plan?

    OUT OF 5 STARS

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
