Shameless Recommendation
It's been a long road, but here we are at the end of the Marked Men series. Jay Crownover does a nice job wrapping up the stories with Asa and Royal. Poor Asa does not think he deserves any happiness and the secret he keeps from Royal is heartbreaking. We're going to see more of the Marked Men in the Saints of Denver due out next year. ~ Nelle [April 2015]
I’ve been waiting for this book about the ex-con and the cop since he joined the cast of the Marked Men. Watching Asa fight his attraction was hard, especially knowing how little he thought of himself. He didn’t think he was salvageable or capable of receiving love from a good woman. Royal had to work hard to prove Asa was a good man now, and to stop living with his regrets. We also get to see the whole cast, catch up a bit with each couple, plus meet the characters for the new series. A plot twist and compromises from both characters help round out the ending to this series. [April 2015]

The sixth book in the scorching hot NEW YORK TIMES bestselling MARKED MEN New Adult series
Royal Hastings has been a cop, first and foremost, for most of her adult life. So when a call-out goes wrong and her partner ends up in hospital, she finds herself suspended from the job, indefinitely. With too much time on her hands and a heavy load of guilt weighing her down, she seeks solace in oblivion - otherwise known as a golden-eyed bartender with a rap sheet as long as her arm.
Asa Cross has spent his live on the wrong side of the law, but a near death experience has left him rebuilding his life and relationships. But being good is tougher than it seems - especially when being bad looks as good as Royal does.
On paper, the cop and the con seemed doomed to heartbreak - but when love has stolen your heart, how can you walk away?
