Take Me in the Night by R.L. Kenderson

    Our Recommendation

RL Kenderson wove a great 2nd chance romance about 2 kids from the opposite sides of the tracks who are ripped apart by lies. I loved that Addy was strong and changed her life when Maddox was wrongly convicted so she could help others in his situation. Even though they thought the worst of each other, their love had never dimmed and the chemistry kept them coming back for more. Maddox sneaking into Addy’s apartment was super hot, and their relationship had no issues blossoming again once his alpha protector senses couldn’t leave her alone to be in danger. I really hope we get a second book between Maddox’s SEAL teammate and the lawyer, they brought the perfect humor into a tense time of the book.

    First, he took my heart.

It started in high school. I was his girlfriend…he was the love of my life.

We had plans for after graduation. We were going to escape—he from his family’s reputation and me from my father’s control.

But all that changed the summer before college. Charged with a crime he hadn’t committed, he was whisked away from life, never to be heard from again.

    Then, he takes my body.

Twelve years later, he’s back. He’s bigger, he’s tougher, and he’s harder around the edges. He’s no longer the boy I fell in love with.

But I’m no longer the girl who gave him her heart.

Everything’s changed between us. Anger, resentment, and bitterness have replaced happiness, love, and trust.

Except for when darkness falls. That’s when he comes to me at night, taking what is still his.

Now, he’s going to take my soul.

When the lines between our old love and our new hate begin to blur, I know that, this time, I might not survive if he leaves.

"What are you doing?" "Checking to see if you're naked." He pushed his pelvis into me. "Spoiler alert: I am."
"I'm going to come in your mouth, and I want my seed to hit your tongue. I want you to taste me. I want you to know it's me coming down your throat."
Her pussy was dripping and gripping me so tight. But her dirty talk was a fucking turn-on for me. And hearing her say my name made me want to make her mine.

    OUT OF 5 STARS

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
