    Our Recommendation

Elle does not disappoint with her flawless storytelling and character development in this romance. Brenna finds herself thinking about Jake at the most inopportune times, and they are both funny and hot. And Jake’s imagination of how he wants Brenna in his bed will have you fanning your face. I didn’t think I’d love the cocky, sure-of-himself Jake, because I fell head-over-heels for Finn in the first book, but he won me over just like he won Brenna’s heart. I couldn’t stop reading this romance, crossing my fingers that the big twist or climax wouldn’t break my heart. Don’t worry, Elle doesn’t like to torture her readers too much. Now if I could just figure out who the next couple will be.

    Publisher Synopsis

    via Amazon

A sexy standalone novel from New York Times and international bestselling author Elle Kennedy.

Everyone says I’m a bad girl. They’re only partly right—I don’t let fear rule me, and I certainly don’t care what people think. But I draw the line at sleeping with the enemy. As the daughter of Briar’s head hockey coach, I’d be vilified if I hooked up with a player from a rival team.

And that’s who Jake Connelly is. Harvard’s star forward is arrogant, annoying, and too attractive for his own good. But fate is cruel—I require his help to secure a much-coveted internship, and the sexy jerk isn’t making it easy for me.

I need Connelly to be my fake boyfriend.

For every fake date…he wants a real one.

Which means this bad girl is in big trouble. Nothing good can come from sneaking around with Jake Connelly. My father would kill me, my friends will revolt, and my post-college career is on the line. But while it’s getting harder and harder to resist Jake’s oozing sex appeal and cocky grin, I refuse to fall for him.

That’s the one risk I’m not willing to take.

    & More!

I love games like this, the dirty ones where you tease and toy and dare each other until something gives. Until someone breaks.
"Tell your boner to stop stabbing my butt," she grumbles. "Hey, you're the reason I even have a boner."
But a kiss, at its very core, is an emotional experience. Or at least it is for me. Anyone can give me an orgasm, but not everyone can touch my soul. One kiss can make me fall in love with someone.

    OUT OF 5 STARS

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
