This book left me speechless. I actually reread it as soon as I was done because I felt like I had been reading the words so fast in order to know what happened next that I did not get to savor it as I properly should have. The only way to sum up Grey’s story would be to describe it as an emotionally charged mystery that keeps you hooked on every word. Every. Word. Yes, it is just THAT GOOD. It deals with romance, sex, mental illness, hardship and struggles and moments that will literally take your breath away. The characters are refreshingly unique and well rounded (I adore Declan) and the world Amanda immerses the reader in is spectacularly written. I loved this story and found myself yearning for that happily ever after. This is more than a book, it is an experience. One you do not want to miss!

About This Book

Our Favorite Quotes

I’d heard people describe their first kiss with someone special as resembling fireworks. Nope. The kiss Declan and I had shared was beyond colorful explosions in the sky. Instead, it was as if the entire world had stopped around us, all its energy funneling into that one kiss. A sweeping swirl of light, sound, and motion wrapping around us as we merged into one. We were all that existed at that moment—us. Not him, not me. Us. It was all-consuming.

My hips dug into the edge of the counter with each thrust, the breath knocked from my lungs in quick pants. Feeling the sting of nails raking down my back, I groaned in both pain and ecstasy. My head was yanked back, my hair fisted in his hand, my body pounded against the granite.

A thick arm wrapped around my back and with a smooth yank, he pulled me farther up the bed, my heels dragging along the soft sheets until he placed me where he saw fit. I was like a rag doll under him. Submissive. Willing. His.

There was something about Declan that was all man. Strong. Alpha. Did I mention sexy?

The man somehow made me want to both rip his pants off and slap him in the face—and not in a good way. In a you’re so damn frustrating way.

(Due to serious subject matter and mature content, please be aware that this book might be an emotional trigger for some readers.)

I read. I create. I get in trouble. That is me in a nutshell. I live in a snarky, artistic, eclectic world where BDSM and Dark Erotica are high on my reading list. I yearn for a really raw, gritty book where the lead guy/girl is more like a villain and I am left completely mindf*cked. The more the usual lines of morality are blurred, the better. I am an Alice in Wonderland Freak, an Edgar Allan Poe lover and an ocean addicted mermaid. I like originality when it comes to my books. The dirtier, the better.
