Ryan’s Bed was about loss, finding love, and keeping the family together. Since this was more young/new adult, there was high school drama, petty bullying and mean girls, but Tijan will have you addicted to the story of Ryan and Mackenzie.
I thought Tijan did a wonderful job detailing the loss of a loved one, subsequent depression, and the different stages of grief. Your heart will hurt but you will also feel lifted up as Mackenzie learns to let go of her sister and become stronger with Ryan. I really need a book about them after they reach college and graduate. I just loved them together, and their friends made a great cast. ~ Marissa [4.5/5 stars]

I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.

I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed—her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left...

I didn’t.
I didn’t jump out.
I didn’t get embarrassed.
I relaxed.
And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved.

I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept.

The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have.
He became my sanctuary.

Because—four hours earlier—my twin sister killed herself.

My first foray into the Romance genre came my freshman year in high school English, where the teacher had us all read books from several different genres. So, my first book boyfriend and PnR introduction, if you will, was Richard Merlin, from The Wizard of Seattle. Prior to that, I’d only read Fantasy or Sci-fi, with a little teen horror thrown in for angst. I was reading The Vampire Diaries decades before it was even a twinkle in the eyes of the producers. Now, I am addicted to PnR, always reading at least one book a week about vamps, wolves, angels, demons, Fae, or overall magic.
