Cecy Robson Author always has these alpha heroes that have a lovely gooey center for their heroine. *swoon*
Salvatore has done a lot of regrettable things to help make his brothers safe, and he doesn’t believe he deserves someone sweet and good like Adrianna. He is not always the nicest man, and he definitely runs hot and cold during their relationship. But, once you realize how stuck he is in the mafia life, trying to protect himself and those he loves and feels obligations to, your heart will hurt for him. Adrianna is a sweet, virginal, Southern woman who is not used to a gruff, tough, and unfiltered man like Salvatore. I enjoyed how she starts out wanting to help his brothers succeed, but then is drawn to Salvatore even when she can sense the darkness around him. This story is definitely grittier and a little darker than Cecy’s normal romances, but her writing will grab hold of you, you’ll fall in love with the characters and hate the bad guys even more. I hope we get his friend’s story next because, after that last chapter, I need it!

I'm not sure what to do, but my body does, responding and surrendering to his strokes.
"Don't hold back from me," he growls against my ear, pinching my nipple. "I need to hear how loud you can come."
My throat tightens. "I lost my soul when I lost you," I confess, everything I'm feeling slicing into each word. "You're my world, Adrianna."

Desperate men do desperate things . . .
Salvatore Romero is a dangerous man. If you've lived the life Sal has, rage is to be expected and maybe so is heart. After his father killed his mother in a jealous rage, Sal was left to raise his two younger brothers, becoming a parent long before he was ready.
Desperate for money to support his family, Sal sought help from his old friend, Vincent Maggiano, the son of New Jersey's top crime boss being groomed to take over his ailing father's empire.
Sal never planned to join the mob. He also never planned to fall for his brother's sweet and ultra conservative counselor, Adrianna Daniels.
Aedry isn't the type of girl Sal is usually drawn to. Her skirts are longer, her hair is tamer, and her heels aren't clear. But he can't deny the attraction he feels. And Salvatore's dark, sexy, and dangerous persona is the exact opposite of the clean-cut business men who usually catch Aedry's attention.
Neither planned on a life of crime nor did they plan on love. But now, both are in too far.
