I love Renee Harless's style of writing. She gets her readers to the good stuff with just the right amount of torture, stopping short of dragging things out. Elle and Jackson's story has a wonderful mix of chemistry, tension, and conflict. Her supporting characters are a lot of fun, and the situations the characters find themselves in are easy to relate to. This book is a perfect mood lifting story that will make you believe in love happening when it is least expected.

Our Favorite Quotes

With a final thrust, I plunge deep inside, her body fighting at first, Elle's features distorting at the intrusion, but then the walls of her sex relax and grip me firmly, Elle's face transforming into bliss.

I continue to lick and savor her flavor until her legs quake beneath my hands. "Are you close, sweetheart?" I ask, and she replies with a gasp.

She begins to pulse up and down, just the tiniest of movements, until her body awakens with pleasure. It takes only a minute before her pace increases and she's moving my cock in and out of her body as she takes control.

From The Publisher

Elle's life seems like one joke after the next.

Blindsided by a cheating husband? Check.
Ex-friend knocked up by said husband? Check.
Moving herself and two kids into a home willed to her by her estranged father? Check.
Disease infested fence separating her home from her neighbor's? Check.

That's the first thing to go. If only the gorgeous neighbor didn't rile her up every chance he gets and now with the fence gone she suddenly finds herself facing a new joke - that stupid heart of hers racing whenever he's close.

But one stolen kiss leads to a number of stolen nights leaving Elle with the choice of ending the fling before she gets hurt or checking another box off her "jokes on me" list - heartbreak.
