I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in Wendy Higgins’ Sweet series!!! Kai and Anna are getting closer and closer to danger, but they finally admit how they feel about each other. This is not a terribly dirty book, so if you are looking for that you will be disappointed. But if you are in the mood for a super sweet love story with an amazing plot that focuses on the battle between sin and virtue, you will not be sorry for reading this series. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next one!

My eyes drifted open and his hands gripped me, one at my waist and the other still behind my neck. I looked straight into his ocean eyes, “I want it, Kai.”
In one step he had me against the table, the back of my thighs hitting the edge as he pressed his body flush against mine. A whimpering gasp escaped from my lips.
I took in the scent of him, the sweetness of his pheromones and the natural boy-smell of his skin. I took in the feel of his soft lips and his firm body as he pressed it against me and moved in the exact right ways. I took in the sight of him, the waves of hair over his angled face and the passion in his eyes when he looked at me.

Anna Whitt, daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she'd never do the work of her father--polluting souls. She'd been naive to make such a claim. She'd been naive about a lot of things.
Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school's party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there's Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?
