I have to say, when it comes to strong female leads, Sarah Humphreys' Olivia Hollingsworth is my new favorite. Intelligent, compassionate, and impeccably dressed, Olivia runs her night club with precision and protects her "family" with all the the fierceness a 300-year-old vampire can impart. This paranormal tale is filled with interesting characters, lots of action, and enough sexual tension to start a friction fire! I mean, who doesn't love a few leather-clad sentries and a hot redhead? Olivia proves to everyone, especially Detective Paxton, that she's no damsel in distress. [January 2018]

She always knew Fate was cruel...

The last person Olivia expected to turn up at her club was her one true love. It would normally be great to see him, except he's been dead for centuries. Olivia really thought she had moved on with her immortal life, but as soon as she sees Doug Paxton, she knows she'd rather die than lose him again. And that's a real problem...

But this is beyond the pale...

Doug is a no-nonsense cop by day, but his nights are tormented by dreams of a gorgeous redhead who's so much a part of him, she seems to be in his blood. When he meets Olivia face-to-face, long-buried memories begin to surface. She might be the answer to his prayers...or she might be the dead of him.

Philly suburbanite, mom to an amazing teenager. (Of course he knows everything and isn’t sarcastic at all.) Lover of everything word related: books, music lyrics, poetry... I don’t discriminate! I discovered my love of reading as a 6th grader when I stumbled upon a fantasy series by Piers Anthony. It was then I realized I could be someone else, exploring new places and learning about new experiences. My reading preferences have changed throughout the years, and I’m more of a PNR junkie now with one-handed reading at the top of my list.
I believe with every fiber of my being that words hold the ultimate power. Words able to build someone up or leave them in shreds, so I try to always choose mine carefully.
Reading has brought me so much happiness, new friends, new adventures, love, and contentment. It’s the ultimate escape!
