This is a brand new author (well, actually a pseudonym for a Bestselling author) that I stumbled across accidentally, and I was really impressed by the story. I am amazed that such a short novella could accomplish so much. It sets up a dark, mysterious world, while simultaneously introducing well developed characters, and starting a super hot romance. There is one scene in particular that just pushed all of my buttons, and - whew, yeah! It does have some darkness (murder, dubious consent) in it, and it also ends at a tense spot, so be warned if those things aren't for you. Part Two comes out on 2/4/21. I am looking forward to finding out what happens in this series, and in seeing what else this author comes up with!

He pushed inside in one swift movement, filling me completely. I groaned and let my head hang down. This time, he didn't insist I keep watching, but from the woman's loud moans and the men's increasing grunts, along with Mav's heavy breathing and the feel of him pounding into me, I came again, even more powerfully than with Mav's fingers.

The second I closed the door to my apartment, I had my mouth on her, my hands burrowing beneath her shirt, her back to the wall as I dry humped her like an animal who'd been denied access to a female of its species for far too fucking long.
