Have I told you yet that RomCom is my summer jam? Well it is and Lauren Blakely just so happens to be the queen of RomCom! Her books NEVER disappoint when you’re looking for something witty, light hearted, full of heat with guaranteed laugh out loud moments. But this one...this one is special. I wasn't really expecting it to be as deep and meaningful as it was. It had just enough angst and conflict (also my jam) to take it to the next level. The chemistry between these characters is palatable and this story had me caught up in my feelings but still managed to have me cracking up while turning pages hungry for more. Unputdownable you guys!

It takes a better man than me to listen to his head. Especially when the heart has a way of convincing the head that it knows best.

I want to watch her back arch. To know what she looks like when she's coming. I kiss her like that. I kiss her so she knows I want to devour her. I want her wild little body under me, on me, bent over. I push my body to hers, making sure, making certain she can feel what she does to me, so she can know this is true. This is real. This is just because.

April Hamilton wants you to know she hasn’t been on GigsForHire since that time she sold her futon after college. She doesn’t even spend that much time online. And even if she did, she would not be looking up personal ads. But going home alone for her family's summer reunion is an invitation for every single relative to butt into her personal life. She simply can’t handle another blind date with the butcher, the baker or the candlestick maker from her hometown. So when she finds the GigsforHire ad for a boyfriend-for-hire, she’s ready to pay to play.

Heading Home and Need a Buffer? I’m the REAL DEAL.

Theo Banks has been running from the past for years. He’s this close to finally settling all his debts, and one more job as a boyfriend-for-hire will do the trick. He’s no gigolo. Please. He’s something of an actor, and he knows how to slip into any role, including pretending to be April’s new beau -- the bad boy with the heart of gold.

Even if it means sleeping in close quarters in that tiny little bed in her parents’ inn. Even if it means spinning tales of a romance that starts to feel all too true. What neither one of them counts on is that amid the egg toss, the arm wrestling, and a fierce game of Lawn Twister that has them tangled up together, they might be feeling the real deal.

She only wanted to show her family once and for all that she had no need to settle down.

He didn’t expect to have the time of his life at her parent’s home.

They didn’t plan on loving every single second of the game.

But can a masterful game of pretend result in true love?

I'm a mom of 2 rad AF adults, 1 fresh baby and a super cute fur babe. Hospital administration by day, yoga instructor by night, travel junkie, shoe addict, foodie and avid reader in all the spaces in-between. I got my love of books from my mama and honestly can’t remember a time in my life where reading wasn’t a daily priority. I’m a sappy hopeless romantic who’s a sucker for 2nd chances, mature characters, and serendipitous connections. In an ideal world, you can find me on the beach with an icy cold adult libation in one hand and my Kindle in the other.
