I went into this book blind. I've never read the authors before and only read the words "a priest who makes sinners pay" before making the decision that this was a must read for me. I am so happy I took the chance. This story was unlike anything I've read before. First- there are warnings for a reason - this book is disturbing at times. As I was raised Catholic, the thought of a priest who would break his vows to avenge God in any way is quite taboo, not to mention sinful. I had no idea how sexy that idea could be though! Savio Martin is the epitome of a broken man, trying to run from a traumatic past but he channels that into the only thing he feels can truly redeem him. Andrea is drawn to him, believing she has also been called by God to help his children and in doing so, she becomes infatuated with Savio. The two together are beyond intense. It is hard to tell where insanity begins and ends. What is the purpose of their meeting and actions? The character development is so intricate and detailed. It enables you to see past the label of a priest to the human connection and emotion inside. The blurred lines of lust become just that... blurred. A true testament to great writers.

“Savio,” I whisper softly, to no one in particular, to the air, to fate, to my destiny and his which are on the brink of crossing. “I need you.” And I let my fingers do the talking, let them take me higher as I rub my clit until I clap my hand to my face and moan into the ball of my fist as I come.
My fingers tighten around the knotted handle, and a sweet serenity slithers inside me as, with a flick of a practiced wrist, I let it fly.
