The second I read that the main male character in this book had dark needs, I was in. I was thoroughly surprised with what a hot little read this story was. Thorne is dark and has his fair share of issues. He is dominating, controlling and everything an Alpha is supposed to be. What I loved the most about him was that even with his natural aggressive tendencies, you could relate to him. He faces his own battles and insecurities and once Victoria walks into his life, everything gets turned upside down. She is innocent in EVERY way and the story shows her self discovery as a submissive and as a lover. The sex is kinky and ridiculously hot and the BDSM dirty talk will have you running out of batteries, believe me! It does end with a cliffhanger but totally worth it! I cannot wait to see the heat R.B. O'Brien brings in Book two.

Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven…the primrose path—Shakespeare

William Thorne is a powerful man with dark needs and a troubled past who doesn’t have the time nor the desire for romantic relationships or notions.

Through meticulous planning and iron-clad contracts, Thorne has managed to maintain a modicum of balance, control, and happiness by employing personal assistants to aid him in all aspects of his professional and personal life.

Sex with no strings attached. Obedience without questions. An arrangement of mutual benefit. No mess. No love. No expectations. Nothing beyond a signed contract.

But when Thorne meets recent music grad, Victoria Rose, the shy and beautiful down-on-her-luck waitress, obsession replaces his carefully constructed thinking. He becomes so fixated on having her, without a full understanding of who she is, that he rushes her contract, making mistake after mistake before the ink even dries. His once neat and controlled existence becomes blurred and smudged.

Can the mistakes he makes be erased from Rose’s dark contract? Or will the damage leave an indelible mark that nobody could have seen coming?

I read. I create. I get in trouble. That is me in a nutshell. I live in a snarky, artistic, eclectic world where BDSM and Dark Erotica are high on my reading list. I yearn for a really raw, gritty book where the lead guy/girl is more like a villain and I am left completely mindf*cked. The more the usual lines of morality are blurred, the better. I am an Alice in Wonderland Freak, an Edgar Allan Poe lover and an ocean addicted mermaid. I like originality when it comes to my books. The dirtier, the better. I am here to Discover, Share and Obsess. Join me, will you?
