I was riveted by this story from the beginning! It pulled me in and refused to let me go! It alternates between a very sweet insta-lust romance between Alex and Pru, a suspenseful and dangerous mystery, and a ghost story, all woven together in a way that kept me on the edge of my seat. Alex and Pru are sometimes super sweet, and sometimes frustrating, and it makes them very real and well written. I cannot wait for the next one in this series!!!

His head prodded her opening, found her soaked in honey, and slid inside. She lifted her hips to hurry his slow advance, taking every last inch of him with a hard thrust and a moan of pure female satisfaction. Alex let out a groan at the feeling and dropped his weight to his elbows as his arms quivered. Oh God, she was even better than he imagined.

Yes. This was what she wanted. She parted her legs, and his hips settled between them as if they had done this a thousand times, no awkward jostling or rearranging. Her bare legs curled around his. The bulge of his erection probed the wet strip of cotton covering her, and she twisted against him, wanting to be closer, wanting more.

His fingers moved inside her, stroking the blaze that was beginning in her belly, but she fought it. "Let go, babe." His thumb circled her clitoris and that was all it took. A tremble started under the pressure of his thumb and radiated outward in delicious waves. Not a hard and fast climax, but a long, rolling one that shook her world.
