I found this story out of the blue. And with all the royal drama we are seeing lately it hit the spot! A closeted Prince? And he falls in love with a fixer with a secret? Sign me up! There is just the right amount of angst and for just the right reasons! The story is a bit of a slow burn but the payoff is so worth it! I know it is only January but this one is an early contender for my "Best of" list.

β€œIs this—” Leo switched off the speaker and brought the phone back to his ear β€œβ€”your roundabout way of saying that you’ve decided to stay in the closet? Just... he’d thought that maybe Joshua would make a bold statement. Have some of those bloody traditionalists choke on their breakfast when they unfolded the morning paper. β€œNo,” Joshua said. The word came out quiet, but calm. β€œIt’s my roundabout way of saying I have decided to come out.”

"A gentleman's agreement only works if both sides are behaving like gentlemen. Not applicable in this case."

β€œYou’re being a little shit.” Joshua grinned, wide and true. β€œHow about you put your mouth to better use, huh?”

From The Publisher

As part of a team of fixers hired to handle a gay scandal in Buckingham Palace, Leo expects Prince Joshua to be a lot of things, most notably a royally spoilt brat. But when planning the Prince’s coming out throws them into close contact, a tentative friendship blooms. Leo has no intention of ruining it with the admission that Prince Joshua used to star in quite a number of his teenage fantasies.

I am a Puppet for The Man and a serious smut reader! I cut my teeth on mass market romance lines when I was a teen and now I have graduated to the good stuff. I am happiest spending time with my husband and my two dogs. Normally you will find me combing the virtual bookshelves for the best of Gay Romance, but I'll never say no to a good story no matter who it features. I can't wait to share my favorites with all of you!
