I recently discovered this author and I love her writing! Her characters are dynamic, her plots are refreshingly original and the chemistry is a perfect combination of emotional and intense. William and Kara were incredibly engaging to read about. She is a hardworking, independent female character and I adored her strength and determination with trying to keep her families lives from falling apart. She took no shit and I really believe that is what drew William to her. He cannot help the attraction he feels towards her and watching it all play out is sexy as all hell. There are some interesting issues that arise and it takes this story to a different level. I finished this book in one night, and I truly wish it had continued on because I want more!

She didn't need anyone's sympathy, especially his. She'd take his dick though, with pleasure.
Kara laid back against the pillows, then turned her head to the side and inhaled a masculine scent. Yes, this is definitely his bed. There was something deliciously perverse about her skin coming into contact with blankets that had kissed his naked body.

Kara Smith is stressed to the max. She's close to losing the bar she inherited from her grandfather, she's exhausted from taking care of her alcoholic father, and to top things off, she's losing precious clientele to a new nightclub in Houston. She's so desperate, she's actually considering the insane proposition her best friend, Trevor Black, has made. Marry him, and he'll make sure she keeps her bar.
William Richardson is the son of Carl Jones, as in the Carl Jones...the owner of many of the amazing nightclubs in Houston. Carl has come up with his best idea yet, if only he can get Kara to sell her bar. If William can make sure this happens, he'll be handed over his father's empire. And hey, William and Kara can't stand each other, so it should be easy, right?
But after an intensely steamy night where they set aside their feud and bond in the most erotic of ways, will he still be able to convince her to let go of her bar? Will he even want to?
